Here I guess is where it all began.. Prepare for the puns.
| Kiption |
Kiption and Dragoon moved quickly to a place of cover, just outside the town's outskirts. Kiption was a little nervous this time, but he knew that Dragoon would get him out of this one, in more or less one piece. The checked over the data pad one more time so that Kiption felt that he had a good enough grasp on what was going on with the mission. "It's really simple.. all you really have to do is distract them long enough for me to plant my charges. Worse comes to worse, I help you out." Dragoon was trying to reassure the newbie without too much luck. "Great, me aginst fifty, were are those other VE members that can take out 200 troopers with their mythical At-At's with built in hyperdrives." "Those guys are long since dead, too many missions without backup. Besides, nobody said you had to kill all of them, leave that for the explosives." They then arranged a meeting place far enough out of the blast radius for when their first job was done. Kiption left first, moving into the town, keeping his weapon hidden, but within reach. No need in giving the troops inside something to worry about. 'Just act like you own the place and nobody will mess with ya,' he told himself. Believing it was something completely different. The sounds of troops patroling far away streets and people moving about their business quickly perked up his ears. He went up to the first building. Light guard in the front of it. 'Best way is the quiet way.' Kiption moved up closer to the guys, looking around at the buildings, stopping to "admire" the architecture, trying not to draw attention, but failing miserably. "What are you doing there?" Kiption looked shocked and turned to face the guard questioning him. "Who me?" he asked starting to move toward them, his hand reaching up his sleave slightly to tug at a small blade. "Yea, you don't look like you belong here." Kiption was still moving towards the two guards. "Ahh, yes is it so easy to tell? I was just passing through town on my way to the cliffs." 'I hope there are cliffs near here,' he thought. "You should know better than to be travelling at a time like this. All civilians should not be participating in any unnessicary travel. Don't you guys pay attention to the broadcasts?" Kiption was now within strking distance, and did so. The blade now comfortably in his hands moved from his sleeve across the first guards neck. He collapsed almost at once. The second guard was in shock. He stood perfectly still except for the small shaking as he thought about raising his rifle. Kiption lept at him and snagged a major vessl in the neck with the edge of the knife. The second guard opened his mouth to scream, but that was more easily solved by covering his mouth. After he stopped struggling, Kiption moved their bodies out of view, and whispered some words into his comlink. "You're free to go." |
| Dragoon |
Dragoon saw Kiption take out the guard and heard the com message. Well, the self-proclaimed newbie wasn't as bad as he thought. Dragoon walked leisurely down the street, the turned down an alleyway, then went the backway to the building. He got to work setting the explosives. A well placed charge here, another one there. He was ready to go. "Kip, I'd say you have 3 minutes to haul your butt away from the building before this thing comes down. It's going to be a big explosion." Dragoon cracked his neck and set the timer. He swiftly made his way through the alleyway and back out onto the main street, unnoticed in the throng. The people milling throughout seemed oblivious to the impending destruction, which Dragoon hoped they were. He went to a place with a good view and counted down. 3...2...1... The explosion sent tremors through the ground, and the government building collapsed like it was made of sand. Dragoon loved the sight of such destruction. He checked his sack to make sure he had enough explosives left for another two strikes and went to the rendevous point. Off to the side, in the shadows, someone saw the satisfied expression on Dragoons face amidst the looks and sounds of panic. That was the look of someone who was admiring their own handiwork, the guy though. He followed after Dragoon. |
| Kiption |
Kiption was waiting at the rendevous point when Dragoon finally arrived. "Did ya see that, man it was beautiful. They don't make moveis that good." Kiption just laughed. He'd gotten somewhat used to his partner's ego, it was just so funny sometimes. "Yea, yea yea, let's see where this next one's at." Dragoon pulled out the data pad and the two of the studied it for a while. "It appears that this one is about the same as the other one was, the thing is that the guards will be on more of an alert now that the first building has gone down, this one might take both of us to get to." Dragoon said. "The best places to put the charges would be here and here, which means...." "Why don't we just go in this way?" Kiption pointed to a small alley way, that led to the backside of the building. "Looks good in theory, but in practice those things are usually guarded by laser turrets and stuff like that." Dragoon, but I guess if you don't mind crawling through the sewere system a bit, we could go underneath it and arrive in the back." "Sounds good, where do we go in." Dragoon presed a couple of buttons and the display on the map changed and rotated. "Here. We go in here." Kiption studied it. "Ok I think I can find it. Follow me." The two of them headed off towards the entrance of the tunnel. Their friend followed as well, taking no chances of losing these two strangers in the commotion of the recent bombing. |
| Dragoon |
"You know, I hope you brought a change of clothes," Dragoon called back to Kiption. Kiption just cursed. The sewer wasn't as great as he thought it would be. "Well, I think we're almost there, lemme check the datapad." Dragoon got out a small light and looked at it. "The next manhole we're out." He thought he heard Kiption let out a sigh of relief. They climbed out and Dragoon quickly put on his back up clothes. Kiption remembered his as well, he was learning quickly, and they kept on their way. (Their friend didn't think of bringing a change of clothes, if you were wondering). Dragoon spied the area and motioned Kip forward when the coast was clear. Kiption was look-out, as usual, but this time with his blaster out and looking for something to shoot. Dragoon laughed to himself and got to work. He was using bigger charges this time...this building was lower to the ground than the other one, took more to blow up. Dragoon took a peak around the corner at the foundation when he caught a glimpse of a shadow. Kip saw it to, and he moved towards it as Dragoon set the final explosive. "What was it," Dragoon said. Kip just shook his head and holstered his blaster. "Well, we need to get out of here...this one is going to make the one from this morning look pathetically placid." As they left the scene an explosion rocked the ground once more and yet another building collapsed. The man saw it all. He reached for his com, but something stayed his hand. He decided to just follow after them for now. Reinforcements were always a com click away. |
| Kiption |
"You have a friend following us." Kiption said once both of them were back in the sewer. "I have a friend?" Dragoon said starting to crawl through the muck they had passed through. "Well he's certainly not my friend, I'm the anti-social one remember?" Kiption did his best to stay behind Dragoon, but not so close. He didn't really want to taste the stuff that Dragoon was kicking up as he crawled through. Some things were just better not tasted. It was bad enough he was going to have to walk around smelling like that, but it could prolly be played to an advantage somehow. "Hmm... welll we might as well meet him later." They crawled through the sewer, all the time Kiption doing his best to hold in his stomachs current contents. 'It just wouldn't be cool to lose it in front of Dragoon. He won't let me forget it.' Little known to Kiption, the one thought going through Dragoon's head was, 'I wonder what kinda crap I can get Kiption into next time.' They both finally exited the tunnel, and as Kiption tried to get as much of the gunk off his clothes as he possibly could, Dragoon moved to the side of the tunnel, and motioned Kiption to do the same. It took about 2 mins before they heard the gurking sounds of someon crawling through crud, and about another min before they saw someone's head pop out to puke his guts out. "I know this is a bad time to ask, you being sick and all, but my partner here needs some clothes to wear. You wouldn't happen to have a second pair, now would you Friend." Their friend turned to stare at the barrel of Dragoon's blaster pistol. "This is how you introduce yourself to friends. I thought my squad initiation was bad." Kiption said before turning and releiving the quesiness in his stomach. ---------------------------------------------------------------- {OOC: It would be greatly appreciated that you would please do the following: 1) ignore the puns and other stupid things. Things are less funny than they first appear at 4 in the morning. 2) Try not to end the mission that we are on, we kinda have plans, granted these seem prefectly reasonable now, who knows what they will be like tomorrow. If the story must move on, the story must move on, but take your time. :-P } |
| Dragoon |
Dragoon sat there with Kiption, both coldly discussing how to keep the man from following them. Other than outright killing him, of course. Dragoon had already taken all of his toys, so he was pretty much unarmed and unable to do anything but run around like a madman saying he knew who blew the place up. His ID said he was "Peter Griffen", a mid-level government worker, who wouldn't really stand out if they shot him, but would be noticably missed. Dragoon was always clever with torture methods. "Okay Kip, gimme that rope." Kip began to do it, then paused, almost laughed, and got the rope. It appeared that Kip was getting used to the slightly less then healthy stench down here, something Dragoon would never be able to do. They went to work tying the man up, and once he was securely tied without likely to get out, Kiption added to the torture. "You know, he can scream for help." He cut off a part of the cuffs of his pants, the part that saw the most exposure to the filth in the sewer and shoved it down the mans throat. "That'll keep him from screaming." Dragoon could almost see the man, who was laying in the disgusting slop with a disgusting rag in his mouth, begin to vomit. It was entirely possible he'd drown on his own vomit. Dragoon just chuckled and began to exit the manhole. "Now wouldn't it be funny if he drowned on his vomit," Kiption called up. The boy had a nack for stating the obvious. |
| Kiption |
OOC: Suddenly this little story has taken a strange turn for the worse. --------- "Alright... now where do we have to go?" Kiption asked Dragoon as they tried to get as far away from the man convulsing behind them. "One last building before we go to pay a visit to their commander, it's located on the far side of the city, hopefully nobody will suspect that it's next." Dragoon said and started to lead the way to the last target. "You know, we probably should have blown the buildings all at the same time." Kiption added trying to keep up to Dragoons swift pace. "Oh? and what if they found the charges." "And what if they didn't, we could be watching a larger explosion at the end." "The newbie makes an excellent case." Said Dragoon, "Now stop walking so close, you smell like crap." Kiption started laughing, and paused for a couple of seconds. "You know what Dragoon? I would make a pretty good Peter Griffen. It'd be convincing and everything." Dragoon, just laughed. "So he can be taught.. good." |

| Dragoon |
"Peter," Dragoon said," you are one sexy man." Kiption looked at Dragoon in his disguise with what appeared to be hatred. Maybe it was just another act, Dragoon didn't know. "You know, you're an egomaniac." Dragoon grinned. "I was in the FA, what do you expect?" Dragoon handed 'Peter' a small holdout blaster. "We need to be back at the shuttle in six hours. In three hours, there are going to be fireworks. I need you to throw the sent away from the building that's going to be hit." Kip nodded, "I know, I know. Can we get going?" Kiption walked away while Dragoon went to a local bar to have a few drinks and then found a refresher station. He still smelled like Bantha droppings, and he already hit the refresher twice. He was attracting attention on teh street, and that was a bad thing. Well, he hoped Kip would throw the scent. |
| Kiption |
Kiption had an idea. It prolly wasn't a good idea, but it was an idea just the same. He walked straight passed the guards, guarding the grounds of the third building and proceeded to where he thought was the commander of the guard. He was wrong. "Stop where you are." Kiption froze. 'This is not good.' He heard two sets of foot steps run up from behind him and stop just shy of his reach. "Hands where we can see them." Kiption slowly moved his hands away from his sides and slowly level with his shoulders. "Look guys," he said, "I don't want any trouble, I just want to speak to someone that can help me. I know about the second bombing." He listened for the two guys behind him to give some form of understanding what he just said. "I saw him exiting the sewer, he's back there now, tied up." The two soldiers behind him were having a conversation over thier comlinks. "Yea, get the commander, there's a guy here who says he has the guy responsible tied up somewhere." Kiption started to turn around to face the two guys behind him but was quiickly brought to a stop. "Don't move." "Come on guys, look, my name is Peter Griffen, you can look me up on the computer." Then reaching in his mind for an idea of what the guys ID had said, "ID Number 33-2843. Check it on your computer." The guys behind him were repeating exactly what Kiption had said into the Comlink. "Ok, you can put your hands down now." Kiption finally relaxed. "Come with us," they said and took up position around Kiption, escorting him off. "But the guy responsible is this way." "That's fine. We'll get back to him later. Right now the commander wants to have a word with you." They gave Kiption a slight nudge forward and into the building. |
| Dragoon |
Dragoon exited the refresher booth for the fourth time in the past hour. He was finally beginning to get the smell off of him. He was supposed to meet Kip here about fifteen minutes ago, cause the next bombing was only an hour and a half away. Well, knowing Kip he probably saw a pretty girl, or guy, Dragoon never really inquired to deeply into Kip's personal life. Dragoon decided that if Kip wasn't back in fifteen minutes, he'd go out looking for him. He tried his com, no answer. Just like him, Dragoon thought. Never answeres my calls, or anything. Well, time for another Dew. The minutes were ticking past... |
| Kiption |
Kiption walked past a bright white shiny corridor, through an umarked door, into another shiny corridor. He marveled at the sheer brilliiance of the architect to make the entire interior of the building look completely the same. It was amazing that anybody could find their way around it at all.. "Ahh Mr. Griffen. Welcome. I hear you have some information on the bombings." "Yes yes, but instead of us going to go pick up the guy who's there, we are wasting time with this conversation." Kiption stepped more into the corridor. One guy in front of him and two behind him, in a corridor with only doors at the end. This was the kind of situation they taught you to avoid. A quick snap of the wrist would bring out the small hold out blaster that Dragoon had given him, but would he be able to get the shots off fast enough to get out of the building. Dragoon couldn't set the charges till the guards were pulled away from their post, he had to play this just right. "Is there a rush to get over there and pick the guy up?" "Well, yea. He might regain conciousness (sp)." "Well we might as well go get him before he gets away. But you I'm afraid you on the other hand will have to stay as our guest until this matter is cleared up." Kiption snapped his wrist and the small blaster fell into his hand. He feinted to the right and fired off two quick shots to where he thought one of his escorts was. He trained his blaster around to pick up the other guy, but a stun bolt caught him in the back. 'Well it was worth a shot'. "Move him ...... basement, and .... away until ...." Fade to black. |
| Dragoon |
Dragoon walked out of the bar. He was trying to figure where Kip went to, when he happened to walk by the sewer he came out of. He heard some movement, and a faint murmur. He looked in, saw the man, Griffen, still moving around, and shot him in the head with his blaster. He always believed in tying up loose ends. He overheard two soldiers talking about a man that was taken into custody at the garrison, who shot two guys before he was stunned. Dragoon figured that it was Kip. Well, at least he took a few down. Well, dragoon thought, guess I gotta go save him. Dragoon decided to kill two birds with one stone. He checked his watch to find out when the guards switched, then quickly went to work setting the explosives. Well, he thought, this place is coming down in an hour, no matter if I get Kip out of here or not. But I won't leave him behind. He noted that the guards had changed, and new guards were now at the front door. He lit a cigarra and went up to make some friendly conversation. "Nice evening," Dragoon said casually. The guards didn't even seem to pay attention to Dragoon. Well, he thought, he could do this the silent Wraith way, or the brash FA way. He thought for a second and pulled out two blasters and shot both of the guards in the stomach. FA way it is, he thought. He stepped into the doors, spotted two guards, blasted them and walked down a side hallway. He (luckily, and completely unexpectedly) found the uniform room. "TIme to switch rolls." He changed into a security uniform and made his way down to the dungeon type level. He set his blaster to stun. "What are you doing here?" he asked one of the guards. "You're needed upstairs." THe guard looked skeptical at first, but shrugged and went up anyway. Easier than I thought, dragoon said to himself. The other guard in front of Kips cell was slightly more alert though. Dragoon cut through the crap...yes, another pun, and just blasted the guy. "MAN! I can't believe I left it on stun. Oh well." He opened Kips door. Kip was slightly less than ready to go, but Dragoon stripped down the guard outside and got Kip into his clothes. He checked his watch. 12 minutes until boom time. With Kip staggering, Dragoon got an idea. "Where are you going, and why is he walking like that?" one of the guards said. Dragoon just shrugged. "Drunk on the job, I'm escorting him home." "Ah, okay, go ahead then." Dragoon walked away from teh building as fast as he could and began the countdown. 5....4....3....2.....1... The Explosion made the other two seem small. It rocked the entire block, and two neighboring buildings also fell under the force of the explosion. Well, time to go, Dragoon thought as Kip still stumbled dumbly beside him. |
| Kiption |
"Hey..... trying to get you...." Kiption tried to focus on where it was coming from. "Mom?" he said, Dragoon only heard it as murmors. More darknes. Suddenly he was lifted up and was moving. He tried to keep his feet moving with the pace that was being set for him, but his legs just didn't seem to want to move that well. ".... you going.... he walking... " This wasn't good. Kiption wondered if he was armed. Then he heard another voice. "... on the job..... home." ".... go ahead." Kiption started mumbeling incoherently. They continued down a corridor and through an un makr door. The bright light stunned him, and he stopped to try and move the sun from his eyes. Instead he was just pulled along faster. ".... our..... hreee ..... one......" and then a giant noise that almost knocked Kiption over. After more stumbling through the town, Kip was finally lowered to the ground. He heard the person carrying him mumbling through something, and then a sharp pain into right arm, and something. He became concious in seconds. "What in the world was that?" "Don't ask, FA stuff." Kiption sighed and looked around for his bearings. He was outside the building, which was more of a dust ball at the moment. "Thanks," he said and stumbeled to his feet. |
| Dragoon |
Kiption got himself going, and the two sped towards the shuttle. Dragoon kept checking hi watch, and noticed that time was ticking. They had two hours to get back to the shuttle, which SHOULD have been plenty of time, but things rarely go exactly as planned. Dragoon figured it was maybe three kilometers to the shuttle, but he was tired of risking capture and worse, so he called up old Epic on the com. "Epic, this is Dragoon." "I here ya, Dragoon," Epic's voice came back. "What can I do for ya?" Dragoon looked around. "We need a lift. We've had some trouble, and our handiwork made us slightly less than sociable on this planet." Epic chuckled. "We heard about your handiwork Dragoon, so yeah, I'll be by in a speeder in a few to pick you up. It's probably not best you're walking along the streets with the entire security force looking for whoever bombed those three buildings." "Thanks Epic," Dragoon said and shut off the comlink. They spotted a game of marbles and joined in to pass the time until Epic's speeder came by. They loaded up and headed back towards the ship. |
| Epic |
Epic walked down the ramp of the ship onto the ground and looked around. Everything seemed to be clear so he went ahead and shut up the ship and hopped on his speeder and got to work checking to make sure everything was okay before starting it. He was about ready to head out when he remembered his blasters and such. He couldn't just run off into a hostile planet without weapons. Epic quickly ran back into the ship and grabbed some equipment and then hustled back out, locked the ship up, hopped on his speeder, and took off. Epic pulled up his commlink and said, "Come in Dragoon or Kiption." Only incoherent mumbling came back. He hit the commlink on the speeder and then said, "Dragoon, wake up." "Yeah, I'm here. Wha'da you need?" Came Dragoons reply. "Why didn't you answer a second ago?" Epic said. "We did, that was Kiption. He's sorta? out of it." Dragoon said. "Alright, well? anyways? I'm on my way, be ready, I'll be there in a few minutes. Keep coming this way, I'll meet you." Epic got an 'ok' from Dragoon and then stuck his commlink back into his pocket and throttled up. The city approached steadily and Epic slowed down a little bit. Epic pulled over into the trees and slowly crept up to the edge of the trees and pulled out his binoculars and started scanning the edge of the town. After a few minutes of waiting, he finally spotted two people coming out of the town, one half carrying the other one. Epic assumed that the one staggering around had to be Kiption. Epic pulled out a little laser light as he dismounted the speeder and shined it towards Dragoon and Kiption. Dragoon spotted it and pointed towards Epic and then headed towards him. "Well? I guess it's good to see that you're both still in? one piece?" Epic said when they had gotten to the cover of the trees. "Yeah, Kiption here got into a bit of trouble. He should be fine in a while though. Good to see you again, Epic." Dragoon said. Epic motioned to the speeder and said, "Ok boys, hop on. I'll have you back at the ship in no time. You'd better hold on to Kiption, Dragoon." Incoherent mumbling is all he got in response from Kiption and Dragoon just nodded and helped Kiption on, and then hopped on the very back. Epic jumped up front and they all headed off towards the ship. |
| Kiption |
Kiption was supported by Dragoon in the speeder while Epic sped down the road towards the ship. He was still stunned, but the injection that Dragoon had given him was helping him to fight off the side effects of the stun bolt he took to the stomach. He tried to count the number of targets that they had to take out. There was the one with the two guys. The sewer one, and then the one they just walked out of. 'Wasn't there supposed to be one more?' Kiption thought to himself. 'Weren't we supposed to go after the commander's lodge as well?' Kiption turned his head up towards Dragoon, and tried to talk to him. "habem bwee fogween aben den afder baw?" Kiption tried to make out the words. Dragoon looked at him. "Just relax Kiption, we're almost there. We'll get you out of this state in no time." Kiption tried again, but with no success. "Would you shut him up, I'm trying to drive here." Epic yelled back. Kiption reached in his pocket and took out Peter Griffen's badge and studied it for a second. He nudged Dragoon and started pointing at the number 4 in Griffen's ID number. "Fowth bwillwing." Kiption repeated over and over again. Dragoon finally caught on. "Epic, stop the speeder, we gotta go back." "But Kip's in no condition," Epic protested. "Then you'll just have to take his place, now turn around the speeder and let's go." |
| Dragoon |
Dragoon and Epic were riding in the city towards their next target when Dragoon's comlink beeped. "Dragoon here." "It's Raziel. We've recieved a message from AHC, we're needed on Tadath as soon as possible. I want you here in two hours to leave. If you can finish your mission, do so, if you can't, just get back here and we can come back later for another round of work." With that Raziel signed off. "Okay, looks like we've got a short time to do this job. Let's get cracking. We've got the lounge to destroy, we're three clicks away. Let's get there and do our job." Dragoon checked his explosives. Everything was as it should be. They stalked up to the lounge with Kip as look out...that's about all he could do in his present condition. Dragoon had Epic guard him while he went to work setting the explosives. "What are you doing?" a voice asked from teh shadows. "Setting up fireworks," Dragoon said casually. A man, slightly shorter than Dragoon with ash colored hair stepped into the light. "You're the one responsible for all the explo..." He couldn't say any more. It seemed like he couldn't talk well with a blaster hole in his chest. "Thanks Epic,"Dragoon said and finished his work. "K, it's set to go off in about fifteen minutes. We will still be able to see the fireworks, I made sure of that." They sped away. Approximately fifteen minutes later a giant cloud loomed over a section of the city. "Beautiful, isn't it?" They got off the speeder and boarded the shuttle |
