Cingular War

As of 3-10-2003 my contract with Cingular wireless had expired and I hastily terminated my subscription. The year long contract had been nothing but frustrations as it was a struggle to get a cell good enough to yell to the other people who would reply "What?" When I called tech support to get my phone to stop blocking caller ID so that I could call home, their finest and brightest thought I wanted my caller ID on my phone turned off. Yay, public education!

Now it's 4-22-2003 and I received my second statement in the mail saying I was credited $245. Said sum of money was the deposit I made because I had no credit history. Said sum of money was supposed to be higher than that and also be mailed to me 30 days after termination of my subscription. I was promised (verbally) by the salesman that I would get interest on my deposit and get it back at the end of my year long contract as long as I didn't cancel. That was the only reason I hadn't canceled. What I failed to read was the fine print that's a page and a half long saying that they lied to me. They no longer needed to give interest for legal purposes, and so they didn't. I am now screwed out of money that I desperately need to move on with my life. I was to get the check 12 days ago and a call to good old Cingular revealed that the deposit is still in their accounts making THEM money. The check will be in my hands and deposited into my dry account in 10 business days.
