Early History[edit]

Evan was rescued by Republic clone troopers during the Battle of Garqi during the Clone Wars. He was an orphan being taken to a refugee safe zone. He grew close to Aiwha Squad and their Jedi commander, General Tra'avis.

When Order 66 was issued, Aiwha Squad followed their orders and executed, among others, General Tra'avis. More information on this unfortunate incident is available here.

This incident affected Evan, who took as his last name that of the fallen Jedi general, Tra'avis. Growing up in the refugee system he began a hardened solitary youth, and later an adult. When Rebellion agents came recruiting for fresh blood after the Battle of Naboo in 12 BBY, Evan, who was working as a spaceport mechanic, quickly signed up.

Rebellion Agent[edit]

He worked to build the fledgling Rebellion forces, and then began volunteering for the worst assignments: abductions, thievery, assassination. Eventually given an officer's commission, he commanded his own strike force, taking part in various actions against the Empire. Eventually he gained enough notoriety to be assigned a Galactic Bounty. It was at this time that he disappeared from public view.

New Republic Asset[edit]

Rumors of Tra'avis' work were persistent as the Civil War turned against the Empire. The rise of the New Republic diminished these tales. As a legitimate government, the Republic began to distance itself from the cruel tactics it used to gain the advantage against the Empire. Once used to consorting with smugglers, thieves, and assassins, the New Republic sought to bill itself as peaceful farmers turned freedom fighters, with examples like Luke Skywalker being made the poster child, when it was truly villians like Tra'avis who carried the load all those many years of violent sedition.

Indeed, Imperial Intelligence had considered Tra'avis put out to pasture until the actions at Yaga Minor were proved that he not only was an active agent, but still - despite achieving his primary objective of killing Thrawn - very good at his work.
