Current status[edit]
Currently, OCAN Loki Grimm is serving aboard the LCR Duty as the Marine Squad Leader.
Biography[edit]
Appearance[edit]
Average height (some might have even said short) with a muscular yet lean build and cold blue eyes. Brown hair, scar on left side of his face and a tattoo on his back.
Personality[edit]
Loki ‘Grin’ Grimm was highly intelligent and professional. At times borderline psychotic, Grin took pleasure in making people think he was insane when he truly possessed more sanity than the vast majority of sentient beings. He did come across as slightly out of it, though, but was a very cunning, manipulative man as befits a VENI agent, former or present. He executed his duties with a psychotic apathy, but never exceeded or fell short of expectations. He was intimidating and along with his brother, formed a backbone for the Marines that no-one would easily break.
History[edit]
Born Carida to a notable Imperial family, the twins Fenrir and Loki were both promising candidates for the Imperial Academy on the same world. From a young age, both brothers proved to be physically stout – Fenrir more so than Loki – and quite intelligent. Loki and Fenrir went together well, Fenrir was more physical while Loki was more intellectual, each of them recognising the fact that they needed each other to survive. As such, each brother developed a trust between them that was nigh unbreakable. They excelled in their studies, both Fenrir and Loki became known as the ‘alpha males’ of their school. In their teens, both of the brothers Grimm joined a local cadet program which offered weapons and unarmed combat training – it was a precursor for young men to join the militia tasked to defend Carida.
Again, Fenrir and Loki became known as the alpha males amongst their cadet comrades, rising to the top of their small squad and earning the attention of the commanding officer of the cadet program. Said officer inducted Fenrir and Loki into the Imperial Academy on Carida as soon as it was legal for them to be conscripted. Here proved no different from the other educational institutions they had entered; they rose to the top, excelling in most areas except ironically in studies relative to COMPNOR. Humanocentrism didn’t come easily to the two of them, they were far too inquisitive, too questioning of everything to assume that humanity as a species were unrivalled. It made them unpopular with their superiors and soon, they were assigned to a frontline unit of Imperial Marines. To the annoyance of the superiors wanting them to ‘disappear’, they didn’t – quite the opposite, they distinguished themselves time and time again until the ISB got to them. They were secured for operations with the ISB two years after entering the Imperial Navy, serving as ISB marines for nearly three years.
Around the age of 19, at 0.5ABY, both Grin and Grim were part of the unit of Stormtroopers who participated in the massacre at Teardrop. They were plugged into the Stormtrooper detachment of the ISD ‘’Reprisal’’ as informants shortly before Major Drelfin and Vak Somoril came aboard. Though they worked for the ISB, the brothers were transferred out shortly after Drelfin’s death, reassigned to the notorious fleet, Death Squadron. Their career therein was disinteresting; it is presumed, however, that they experienced some missions that they still don’t talk about. They lived out the rest of the Galactic Civil War, slowly but surely falling into the background and not distinguishing themselves any further as they began to see what exactly was happening to the Empire. As the Battle of Endor was taking place, the two brothers deserted from their post somewhere near Nar Shaddaa. They joined up with a youth gang run by Demetrius Aita under aliases, intending to use the gang as a stepping stone to form their own pirate gang. However, the young gang leader – given the mock rank of ‘Commander’ actually managed to inspire them. When he was captured, they left the gang and made for the most influential Imperial faction they could think of – the Vast Empire. The Remnant might have been their destination, if not for the humanocentric policies thereof. Hearing that the VE had simpler, less prejudiced views on the Galaxy and constituted a significant Imperial faction, the brothers Grimm journeyed to VE space and presented themselves to Navy Recruiters as experienced, former-ISB Marines.
They were conscripted by VENI shortly thereafter, where they were given the ranks of MCPO and WO2 respectively. Over a period of loyal service, both Grin and Grim proved themselves time and again. Upon the rise to power of the third Grey, Grin and Grim were given a choice – continue acting as VENI partner-agents, fulfilling missions as they came up, or choosing some sort of stable posting. Hearing that the man that had inspired them in the first place had been chosen to undertake the SCTP – a VENI agent himself – they offered their services as Marines. Hades readily accepted, making Grin the lead Marine and Grim as his second, giving both experienced twins – now thirty years of age – free reign as far as the choosing of any shipboard security was concerned.
