Appearance & Personality
Hark is an average looking man, but what he lacks in height and strength he makes up for with intellegence and his deadly pistol skills. Hark has a great, witty sense of humor, when the situation gets tense Hark can find away to add a joke. Hark is also very loyal and a good friend, should one of his squadron members need help he is usually the first to offer his hand.
History
Hark Skysk grew up on a farm on Dantooine, His mother taught him everything he needed to know and more. Hark spent his days studying, he learned several languages and all about the anatomy of several species. On day while his father was working in his field, Hark heard a loud growling noise. When he went out side to see what it was, he discovered that a Bull Kath Hound had found his way onto his farm. Hark stood in stunned silence the animal towered over him. Suddenly hark sees his father sprinting toward his direction pistol in hand, when his father took aim, he couldn't get a clear shot, he was afraid he would hit his son. Hark's father through his pistol towards Hark and yelled shoot it. the Bull charged Hark, Hark picked up the gun and double tapped the beast and the head. Since that day Hark trained in the use of pistols, he became deadly fast and accurate with them.
Late in his teen years Hark began helping his parents by shiping out their crops to the orbiting space-station, After several months of doing this Hark began to weave in and out of passing ships, he flew low to the ground getting the rush from the high speeds, he feel in love with flying. Years later Hark was bored of life on the farm, he loved his family but he urned to leave and explore space. while watching a holo-vid a commercial came up for the Vast Empire, the commercial show pilots in fancy uniforms, and space combat, Hark knew that the VE is where he wanted to go.
It was at the Naval Academy where he got his nickname, "Doc". Hark was always tending to injured trainees, and after awhile of being called Doc, the name stuck.
Rhegent's Reign
After the events at the Battle of Lehon, Hark along with his former squadron wingmate, Kan Xyden where transferred to newly created squadron: The 153rd Rhegent's Reign. He served in Gamma Flight under the Flight Leader Arthur 'Romanflame' Dragon and despite his outwardly cockiness the two became friends and appreciated the other's different perspective of pilot life. Both would suffer the personal loss of Kan during a training exercise. The death of his long serving friend would leave Hark feeling cold and disillusioned with his role in the Vast Empire's Navy Starfighter Corps. In an effort to find purpose, Hark pushed his flight skills to the brink of his limits in the squadron's assignment in the Absit system. The routine reconnaissance mission, however, would have fatal consequences for the determined pilot and when the squadron was ambushed by squadrons of enemy TIE Fighter Hark was caught in the fire-fight that ensued. The strict directive not to return hostile fire had cost the Navy yet another promising pilot...
