Appearance[edit]
Shelly is tall and lanky, even for a Gungan. Her ears are slightly larger than most, an attractive feature amongst Gungans but just plain annoying around humans. Her skin tone is a spray-tan orange, though it was originally a far lighter shade, Shelly prefers to keep it darker. No-one knows what the name of the perfume she uses, and frankly, no-one really wants to - it smells suspiciously of fish. She keeps her Imperial uniform in perfect condition, and always keeps her ears covered with a ridiculously oversized hairnet. She's always smiling, and has perfect teeth.
Personality[edit]
If she had a hair colour, it would just have to be blonde. Shelly has a sunny personality is extremely optimistic, always able to see the best side of any situation, and tries to keep up the spirits of those around her. A genuinely caring person, looks out for those around her and, if you can get her to stop talking, she's a great listener. Since she works in the cafeteria, she is the first to hear of any rumour or gossip that comes around, and knows a surprising amount - she does not like talking about people behind their back, though, so it is difficult to get information out of her.
Her greatest passion in life is cooking, and she is extremely good at it, able to make what should be tasteless cafeteria slop into something absolutely delectable - she has been offered a spot in the Vast Empire's kitchen stadium as an Iron Chef, but has yet to accept the offer, feeling that she could hardly leave her friends aboard the Iron Duke. She wonders why people get so irritated with her, and wishes that people were not so mean all of the time - after all, she only means well. A good person with a good heart, Shelly is a loyal friend, if a little bit slow on the uptake - she's always the last person to get a joke.
History[edit]
Shelly was born on Naboo, and was always inspired by stories of her grandfather, who was a general and politician. She was born with a wanderlust, and became a spacer as soon as she could afford a starship of her own, travelling to one planet, working there for long enough to afford fuel and food to comfortably travel to the next, and so on. It was in Vast Empire space that she got a job offer as an apprentice chef with the Vast Empire, and she has not looked back since.
She has served for about seven years with the Vast Empire Navy, and has earned a reputation as solid, reliable, excellent with food and, sadly, incredibly annoying.
