Appearance

At 190centimeters tall, Ripheus was quite tall. He was not bulky nor overly skinny, but he was solidly built and was quite defined in his muscular physique, holding himself in an almost regal manner, and moving with grace. He had no scars to speak, nor any tattoos, and had icy blue eyes that often intimidated the majority of people he encountered. He had jet-black hair but kept it shaved closely to his scalp, also keeping his facial hair shaved. Every day it was noticed he had shaved that morning, as was his habit.

Personality

Ripheus "Nighthunter" Kane was a cool man. He was not quick to anger nor was he one to hold a grudge, unless it suited his own needs. He was sharp, cold and cunning, but loyal to a fault. He was, despite his even temperament, a very dangerous man due to his sharp wit and cold apathy toward most things. The only things he really held attachment to was the TIE/In that he had customised before joining the VE, and the Empire.

History

Born on Anaxes to a wealthy family, Nighthunter was quite the young gentleman. He was taught all about the intrigues of noble life, the etiquette that was required as one of noble birth and wealth, as well as combat training afforded to him by his parents' wealth. At the age of 5, he started to show razor sharp reflexes and an uncanny ability to blend into the shadows.

At the age of 12, Kane was walking around a spaceport on Anaxes when he heard an unnatural din coming from a nearby hangar bay. He investigated, to find that a Nighthunter - that was being transported illegally onto Anaxes - had broken free of his cage and was killing people in the hangar. A blood bath. Security forces were on their way, but before they could get there, Kane found himself face to face with the creature. Much to the surprise of Kane himself, the beast paused in front of him, looking him in the eyes.

They shared a connection then, and the beast was calmed in an unusual manner - by Kane's stare. The security forces on Anaxes then subdued the beast and quarantined it as dangerous cargo. The bay staff then began to refer to him as "Nighthunter", which seemed to stick. 5 years later, aged 17, Kane was orphaned when his parents were killed in a speeder accident. He became the sole heir to the fortune of his parents and used it to attend a civilian starfighter school - in which he excelled. He bought himself a TIE/in on the black market, becoming extremely proficient in it.

He had customised it extensively by the time he was 18, painting red strikes on the four tips of the Interceptor's frontal panels. It became known to him - and to his friends - as the Red Viper, on account of its extensive speed and red decals. A year later, Kane bought passage for his fighter and himself to the Naval Academy of the Vast Empire on Abrae, immediately enrolling in the starfighter corps.

He graduated the academy in almost record time. Not with particular distinction, but he was marked as competent and assigned to Nightshrike.

Service History

Ripheus Kane first joined the VE as a fighter pilot. Upon graduating the VENA academy he was assigned the rank of Leading Crewman and began flying with one of the most well known squadrons of the Vast Empire - Nightshrike. However, soon after he joined, Ripheus Kane was shot down. His injuries were terrifying, though none of them could be seen on the surface. A plethora of broken bones were the foremost of his concerns..

However, someone had seen his potential from the sidelines. Not only was he an ace fighter pilot, Ripheus had learned to be a slicer as a young child. The new Captain Grey recruited Kane by overseeing his recovery in a secret facility. He quickly rose through the ranks of VENI to the position of Coordinator, and was assigned to the backwater VE fortress world, Ord Vaug. While there, he oversaw a new VENI agent infiltrate and eliminate a potential rebel uprising within the world's prison system. It took him a few weeks to end up rooting out the conspirators after the fledgling VENI agent, Hades, had figured out who they were.

Grey was impressed with his performance, and assigned him to a mission of higher importance. It is unknown where.
