Reach II (Raegent II) is the second planet in the Raegent System. Reach II serves as the VENA Staff Headquarters (at least for a few select high staff members) and also serves as the home port for Alliance, Perpetual, Glorious, Admiral Doreth, Serenity, and a few other select ships.

History[edit]

The Republic[edit]

Once a great colony during the rule of the Republic, Reach II was represented by Senator Kraleth (who also represented the system). When the Republic fell, Senator Kraleth was executed on the grounds that he was opposing the New Empire. The new Senator, a puppet for the Empire was an idiotic fool that came from Reach III. He was later removed from office when the Imperial Senate was disillusioned.

The Empire[edit]

The Empire brought a huge amount of prosperity to Reach II and the Raegent System. Close to one billion inhabitants before, during the Republic, turned into four billion. When the Empire fell, a Star Destroyer entered the system an Reach II allied itself with the Vast Empire.

The Vast Empire[edit]

Still under the Vast Empire’s control, Reach II is a prospering colony. The Vast Empire Naval Academy was moved to this planet during the Vast Empire’s rule.

Demographics[edit]

Populace[edit]

Major Cities[edit]

Londes City[edit]

Londes City is currently the main spaceport of Reach II. Londes City is located on a large island. Londes is also the home of the 81st Fighter Group, 119th Fighter Group, 23rd Fighter Group, and Darling Battalion. The Army’s quick response team, Camp Guardian, Camp Sheffield, and support craft are also located on the outskirts of Londes. Londes currently has one of the largest tunnel-transport systems on Reach II, and is the drop location for Vast Empire Navy recruits. Once they land, they will be transported to the training center on the same island.

Londes city is dotten with skyscrapers, and currently has a population of one billion sentients. The species are 98% human, and 2% other. While the Vast Empire has a major presence in Londes, many freelance groups operate or have stores out of Londes. Freelance groups such as Czerka Corporation and many motor companies.

Lowndes Island[edit]

Lowndes Island is currently the center of all military craft on the northern part of Reach II. Surface fleets are all centered around Lowndes Island. The surface fleet for Reach II, which is made for smaller rescue missions currently has 112 ships. Out of those ships, 34 are currently stationed at Lowndes. The 22nd Army Airspeeder Squadron is stationed at Lowndes, and it operates with the Surface Fleet.

Raegent Front[edit]

Raegent Front, named after the Raegent System, is a huge grouping of buildings that came to be the Reach II Capitol Building. The name “Raegent Front” was derived when a civil war broke through the planet, and one side took shelter at the building. The building was referred to as a “Front”. When the opposing side invaded, they were able to fight them off. Close to three speeder squadrons are stationed at the Raegent Front, one of them is the 10th Speeder Squad.

Sheffield Island[edit]

The Sheffield Island Training Center is the home of the Vast Empire Naval Academy. The Surface Fleet has three battleships stationed at the training center for transporting men into the ocean for training exercises. The Lancer-Class Frigate Perpetual makes regular trips down to the surface. Sheffield Island is 1.3 million acres in total, and all of those 1.3 million acres is owned by the Vast Empire Naval Academy. The Naval Academy’s offices are located on the North End of the island, while a landing pad with about five or so shuttles is located to move to the south end. On the south end, the Training Center’s main base of operations is built.

Military[edit]

Ships in Orbit[edit]

Dreadnaughts:

  • Dreadnaught-Class Heavy Cruiser Admiral Doreth is currently one of the two Dreadnaughts that are in service above Reach II. The Admiral Doreth is named after the late Admiral Doreth, who died during the Roku Tan Incident. The Admiral (which it’s been nicknamed) is commanded by Commander Hinman.
  • Dreadnaught-Class Heavy Cruiser Serenity is the other Dreadnaught above Reach II. The Serenity fought in the Battle of Yetton, Battle of Roku Tan, and the Second Uprising. The Serenity is currently commanded by Commander Mac McCambridge.

Frigates:

  • Lancer-Class Frigate Perpetual is the a frigate that is currently stationed at Reach II. The Perpetual is currently commanded by Lieutenant Commander Joneas.

Platforms[edit]

Platform Saratoga is currently the only Vast Empire Naval Academy platform that is in service. The Saratoga is commanded by Zhar Bacredi. The Saratoga houses three training squadrons, a mix between 12 TIE Fighters, 12 TIE Interceptors, and 12 TIE Bombers. The Platform also bolsters many crewmen. The Platform checks the recruits out and then sends them down to Londes, were they would be air or water transported to Sheffield Island.

Vast Empire Army Bases[edit]

The Vast Empire Army has a variety of bases on Reach II. Such as Camp Guardian, a huge camp with a hangar. The Camp has a huge ion cannon, helping defend Reach II. Camp X-Ray is currently the smallest camp on Reach II, it currently bolsters three speeder squads. And the third camp, Camp Pearl is a camp that holds a huge arsenal of tanks.

Local Agencies[edit]

  • Londes Bureau of Fraud and Theft – The main investigator in the Londes Tribune vs. The People, the LBFT is currently the main investigator of frauds and theft in Reach II. While frauds and theft of a high enough level to detect the attention of the LBFT aren't normally heard of on the Reach II, there are a surprisingly high number which keeps the LBFT constantly busy on a multitude of cases. Along with the local agencies LBFI and LPS, they are funded by the Vast Empire Intelligence, which has a base in the same area as the LBFI, LBFT, and LPS. Their man power is around 1,200 men, but also use a large amount of droids in the accounting and records departments.
  • Londes Bureau of Federal Investigation – The Londes Bureau of Federal Investigation is a planet-wide agency on Reach II. The Londes Bureau of Federal Investigatiion (LBFI) currently has 1,300 or so men and women. The LBFI has been accused many times of promoting sexist values.
  • Londes Protective Service – The Londes Protective Service is currently an agency that helps protect witnesses and political leaders. The Londes Protectiive Service also investigates murders when nessecary, and loans some man power to other agencies. Their man power is around 1,100 souls.
  • Londes Criminal Investigate Service – LCIS is currently the largest criminal investigation for smaller murders, while the LBFI would take more important and more brutal murders. The LCIS also helps secure man local areas, and helps investigate murders while at sea. The LCIS mans around 700 men and women.

  • Air Protection Agency – The Air Protection Agency (APA) is an agency that helps manage air traffic in Reach II. The APA currently has about 24 airspeeders and can use many speeders and TIE Fighters from local military bases. The Air Protection Agency has a manpower of 1,200, 48 pilots, and the rest are ground support men.
  • Vast Empire Navy – The Vast Empire Navy is the main power on Reach II. The Vast Empire Navy controls and secures many parts of the planet. The Vast Empire Navy’s training center, Vast Empire Naval Academy, is located here.
  • Vast Empire Army – The Vast Empire Army has a few camps on Reach II. The man power on this planet is significant.

Surface Fleet[edit]

The Surface Fleet currently has 112 ships. They are all run-down, and are at least twenty plus years old. The government maintains the fleet for odd reasons, such as the need for transportation when airspeeders are impossible, and also to be able to hit targets that are in the air when airspeeders are again, impossible to use. The navy is left over from what the Empire had built on the planet, and since the Empire didn't have that large of presence in the system, the fleet was rather small. Over thirty ships have been decommissioned since the Empire has left and the Vast Empire took place.

Out of the 112 ships, the Raegent Department of the Navy (RDN) has nineteen destroyers, ten frigates, eight submarine-class patrol vessels, and seventy-five transport-ferries.

Businesses[edit]

  • Czerka Corporation – Czerka has put millions into downtown Londes production. While they control most of the business in the upper level of the city, the lower half doesn’t get as much attention from Czerka.
  • Fletcher and Family – Fletcher and Family is currently a private business that is centered at 304 Republicans. The company mainly sells small blasters and large speeders.
  • Londes Tribune – The Londes Tribune is currently the largest news source on Reach II. The Tribune is commanded by old men that use stories that they help procure on the lower levels and then exaggerate them. The Londes Tribune is currently being investigated by the Londes Bureau of Fraud and Theft and the Vast Empire Intelligence.

Planetary Leaders[edit]

  • Governor Paraq – Governor Paraq is currently the Governor of Reach II. Paraq was born sixty years ago to his parents on Reach II. Being a local, he was popularly elected over the other Governor that he was running against. Paraq helped add a military presence to Reach II that helped secure his planet’s future.
  • Naval Training Officer Bacredi – NTO Bacredi is currently the leader of the Vast Empire Naval Academy. Bacredi moved the Naval Academy’s headquarters to Reach II, a deal secured by Bacredi and Governor Paraq.
  • Naval Training Executive Officer Krazanr – NTXO Krazanr is currently the second in command of the Vast Empire Naval Academy. Stormz is usually in command of Platform Saratoga while Bacredi is down on the surface.
  • Naval Training Special Advisor Morrell – Naval Training Special Advisor Morrell is the current temporary advisor to the chief of staff.

  • Director Shepard – Director Shepard is in command of the LCIS.
  • Director Farshadow – He is head of all the Londes agencies, excluding the LCIS.

Government[edit]

Even though Reach II is under the control of the Vast Empire, they have a democratic government. The government consists of one governor, elected for six year terms (you can serve 4 terms) and the current governor is Governor Paraq. The governor's decisions can be vetoed by either the Reach Senate or Reach Lower and Upper Houses.

Governor[edit]

The Governor is elected by a poll of all votes around the globe. He/she can veto any decision of the Senate or Lower and Upper Houses. The incumbent governor is James Paraq, a member of the Imperial Party of Raegent.

Reach Senate[edit]

The Reach Senate has been in place ever since the Vast Empire took control of the planet. The senate is composed of 101 men and women that represent their selective counties (There is 101 counties in total). The current senate majority is Imperial (which is led by Senator Vance Ragen.), while the current senate minority is Colonial-Republic (which is led by Senator Hurse James). The senate meets in the Reach Senate building (which is located just across from the Reach Lower and Upper House buildings).

Reach Upper House[edit]

The Reach Upper House has also been in place since the start of the Vast Empire's control of Reach II. The Reach Upper House is composed of 200 men (from the subcounties of Reach II) that have been put in place by the government. The Reach Lower House is composed of the less experienced congressmen.

Reach Lower House[edit]

Reach Lower House - like the Upper House - has been in place ever since the Vast Empire took control. The lower house is composed of 400 or so men and women from subcounties on the surface. They are usually less experienced men and women.
