Appearance[edit]

At first glance Titus Green is just an average human male, with nothing at all remarkable about him. He stands at just over a meter and a half, so he’s not particularly tall. Nor is he particularly well-built, weighing in at an average 68 kilos. He is fit, however, and he moves with the calm assurance that only comes from knowing many things, including one’s self. His wire frame is packed with tight, corded muscle, and it might be said that he almost possesses a dancer’s grace. His dress is sharp, his movements tight and meticulous, and it’s immediately apparent that this is a man in control of himself at all times.

All the same he has a light face, a happy face. A face made for laughing, some might say. The corners of his lips are always slightly turned up, as if at a moment’s notice he might break into a huge smile. His dark brown hair is cropped close to his head in the standard military style, but it’s still noticeably thick and rich. He has a strong jaw, a handsome jaw, and smooth cheeks. At first some might think that he shaves regularly, but this simply isn’t the truth. The truth is he’s young, younger than most realize. Younger than he acts.

And then there are the eyes. Titus’ eyes are a deep, ocean green, the color of the sea at storm. His gaze is piercing, gripping, very nearly raptor-like in its intensity. It is not the gaze of a young man. It is the gaze of a man who knows exactly what he wants, and will not hesitate to do what is necessary to achieve exactly that. And then his eyes soften, and you realize it is a kind gaze at well. A driven man, an ambitious man, but also a good man.

A man worth watching.

Personality[edit]

The first thing most people notice about Titus are his eyes. Without a doubt they are captivating, entrancing things, and as many scholars have theorized, the eyes are windows to the soul. When one meets Titus’ gaze, he or she is immediately drawn in. He’s that kind of person, possessed of a natural and powerful charisma—and devoid of the intention or inclination to use it. But his gaze is also intimidating. It’s sharp, piercing; when Titus looks at you, it often seems that he’s looking through you. And this gives away another facet of his personality.

Titus is smart…extremely smart. In fact, the proper term might be “child prodigy”. He has a near eidetic memory, and consumes information at a preposterous rate. Despite this however, he remains fascinated by the world around him. For a man who can learn many things impossibly fast, Titus never tires of exploring new things. In fact, he would say that’s what keeps him sane. In the constant struggle against boredom, Titus’ only reprieve is the joy of learning and trying new things. Of course this desire to try anything and everything leads to some issues, the latest of which was a stim habit that Titus only just managed to kick. Still, he keeps going, and he keeps putting himself on the line. This is perhaps the driving force behind his decision to join the Navy. Risk is Titus’ new drug, and there isn’t anything much riskier than piloting a TIE Interceptor.

Despite his extreme intelligence, and his somewhat daredevil attitude, Titus is a kind person at heart. He can be cruel without realizing it, usually as an unwanted side effect of his keen intellect, but these rare moments of carelessness cause him uncountable hours of anguish. He is a gentle person, and is quick to help anyone who requires it, regardless of whether or not they ask. For those he deems unworthy of his help, however, he has little pity. For his enemies, those he deems to be a threat to himself, his friends, his family, or his goals, he has absolutely no remorse. Those unlucky few who call Titus foe face a terrifying prospect. They face the entirety his substantial intellect, the full weight of his attention brought to bear for one singular purpose: the destruction of those who would harm what he holds dear.

Brilliant, quiet, kind, vengeful, and brash, Titus is a study in contrasts. His vast amount of life experience make him seem older than he really is, as do his stunning mental faculties. If it weren’t for his youthful appearance, and his often youthful demeanor, no one would ever suspect that Titus is just barely into his twenties. And truth be told, he likes it that way. The one thing that Titus absolutely cannot stand, besides arrogance, is patronization, and he’s quickly discovered that the chances of being patronized grow exponentially less likely the older one gets.

History[edit]

Born in 9 BBY on Lotaith, Titus is very much a product of his society and culture. Raised by loyalist parents, Titus has always been a supporter of first the Empire, then later the Vast Empire. Both his parents serve in the massive bureaucracy that keeps the Vast Empire running smoothly, and they very much expected Titus to do the same after he attended school. Titus, however, had different ideas. After graduating from one of the most advanced technical universities in Vast Empire space at the tender age of eighteen, Titus spent three years floating around the galaxy, doing whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. These three years of rough living have granted him massive amounts of life experience considering his young age, but they’ve also slightly jaded his normally sunny disposition. It’s not certain how Titus supported himself during these three years abroad, but it can be guessed that some his activities weren’t exactly legal. It was also during this time that Titus picked up the nickname Slammer, although the details of that particular incident aren’t known as well. All in all, this three year period of Titus’ life is fairly shrouded in mystery, and if any of Titus’ close friends know the secrets, they aren’t sharing.

What is known is that upon returning to Vast Empire space, Titus, now known to one and all as Slammer, immediately enlisted with the Vast Empire Navy. He had all his papers in order and he had his future all mapped out, and it was readily apparent that this was a decision he had been considering for some time. While his parents weren’t pleased, Titus’ career choice was still considered state service, and so they were relatively happy. Never one to pass up an opportunity, the Navy jumped at a recruit with Titus’ skills and education. Thus he now finds himself exactly where he most enjoys being: at the center of a brand new, life changing experience.
