Visha is the captain of Corellian Hound and long time associate of Sniping101.

Early Life[edit]

Captain Visha Unhiel started life in the gutters of Coronet. She was originally the only remaining child of a spice addicted mother, however somewhere around Visha's seventh year the woman overdosed on cheap spice. Afterwards she was sent of an orphanage where she was given a new name and some meager amount of schooling. For the most part life in the orphanage was something beyond difficult. Subject to the whims of abusive and alcoholic overseers, hardly a night went by without a beating or worse. Unlike her fellows there, however, she never let it break her spirit. This in turn only made things worse; however by her twelveth year she finally decided that enough was enough.

Several months went into her preparation, between chores, work and beatings she carefully compiled a plan of escape. She didn't need the months, and part of her had known that, but it was also afraid. Afraid of the outside world, she'd learned little of it, little more than what she could see through the orphanage gate on the rare occasions she was allowed outside. The plan stalled and stalled for almost a year. The final push to escape came when one night the gaurds, in a particularly violent bout of drinking, raped and beat to death on of the other girls. In a drunken stupor they woke her up and commanded her to clean up the body between blows with a baton.

As she dumped the body into a compactor between tears she decided that she couldn't stay anymore. The stress and frustration finally eclipsed the fear and she bolted, past the guards that had gone back to drinking, past the overseers and by sheer luck through the open gate. Luck had given her the opened gate, normally electified and locked, it had been opened by chance to allow a delivery of food. She ran and ran into the bleak night of Coronet until she finally collapsed in an alley.

Changes[edit]

For several months Visha, at the time having forgotten her given name and loath of her orphanage name, wandered the streets of Coronet begging, scavenging and stealing what she needed to survive. She felt free, and while adapting to life outside the orphanage was difficult she never regretted running away. She wasn't suited for survival in the streets though, she was often bullied by gangs of older kids, or beaten by police.

One day, however, that changed. After being caught stealing a handful of cheap rations from an outfitter she was chased down by the merchant, his bodyguard and a member of the police force. When they caught her they began to deliver the all too familiar beating between shouts about how much they hated theives and brats and all manner of dirty words. They, however, were unable to continue for very long. A long haired man with wild eyes stepped in and spectacularly trounced the merchant and his entourage amid yells of how much he hated cowards. Visha curled in a corner and watched, unable to move.

When the man finally finished with the attackers he turned to the dark girl cowering between a wall and a dumpster and held out his hand. He introduced himself as Unheil and offered her a place to stay. He also offered her a new name, Visha. Any reason behind the name seems to have been lost, it's a fair bet that Unheil just liked the sound of it. In time she would adopt 'Unheil' as her last name.

Over the next few years she came to call his run down apartment home. She found out Unheil was a captain in Corellia's Space Defense Service, and as such he spent most of his time on board a ship. However, he got her into school, even paying for tutors and special instructors to bring her up to speed with others her age. When he was at home he doted on her like a daughter. Despite an initial mistrust engrained in her from earlier years she finally came to regard Unheil as an older brother, mentor and at times a father. In time the mistrust dissapeared as a degree of normalcy began to take over her life, and in time she came to terms with the memories that had haunted her from her earlier life.

She lived with Unheil for years, being partly raised by him, the owner of the run down speeder shop below the apartment and many of Unheils friends from the military, who would frequently stop by to keep her company and check on her while Unheil was away. She came to regard the variety of both rough and sophisticated military men as uncles. Unheil and his friends would often sneak her onto thier vessels for trial runs or short trips and she became facinated by them, esspecially Unheils DP-20.

Corellian Sector Fleet[edit]

Unheil always impressed upon her the need to succeed on her own merits and the value of being self sufficient. This spurred her to do well in school and when she was around eighteen she was accepted in the military's officer academy as a matter of course thanks to spectacular grades and behavior.

The day she graduated was the proudest day of her life. Finally she had worked her way out of the scum pile she had started in and began a career in the Corellian Sector Fleet. She started as a navigation officer on board a CR90, and quickly fell in love with the ship. She served on the vessel for two years before she was given the early opportunity to enter the command program, after some deliberation so dove into it headfirst. More schooling and training took up another year of her life before she started as a green Executive Officer on board an interdictor. She cared little for that vessel, but continued to excel, putting her all into her work.

During this time she was able to move out of Unheils apartment, although he failed to see the necessity. Life was good for her, the demons of her past forgotten. She had friends, a surrogate family and a life of her own. She had lovers, boyfriend; was introduced to alcohol and cigarras, drove a nice speeder and had finally joined with normal society. She loved her work and enjoyed her life; for the time things were perfect.

After a few more years on the interdictor Unheils own Executive was promoted to a captain and with her captains recommendation and Unheils approval she came to serve on his DP-20 as Executive. She found that the vessel she'd been so enamored with when young was a sluggish and over armed vessel that she was not as fond of as the CR90 she had served on; but the men of the vessel loved her and most of all trusted her. She quickly became their liaison to Unheil and favorite drinking buddy. To which Unheil was completely satisfied.

Engagement[edit]

On the DP20 she met a young and energetic engineer by the name of Matthias L. Battlemont. He was a few years younger than her, but they soon became friends and then more. Their affair was kept as a loosely guarded secret among the crew, most of whom were happy for the pair but, of course, took every opportunity to joke about it. The two of them began to share her cabin, and in time he moved into her apartment in Coronet.

After two years of making token attempts to conceal it Matthias proposed to Visha, the two of them alone in an observation deck on an orbital station while their ship resupplied, looking out into the dark expanse of space and thier vessel. She accepted tearfully and they no longer bothered to keep their relationship a secret.

Shifting of Fortune[edit]

Visha turned twenty-six while under the command of Unheil, and it was in this year that Unheil and most of his crew, at his request, were transferred to an experimental CR90, referred to as the CR92x. Visha was very pleased to once again be serving on a CR90, and found the greater speed of the experimental ship much to her liking.

The vessel had highly experimental engines and as such the Space Defense Service were running a series of trials and wargames to get an accurate assessment of it's abilities. The vessel exhibited superior speed and manouverability in comparison to it's base model, the CR90 and was hailed as a great success in the beginning.

However during the final trial the vessel was destroyed. Exact details are unreleased and Visha and the other survivors are tight lipped about what happened. What is known is that while most of the crew survived Unheil, several of the officers and Visha's fiance were lost.

Unheil was posthumously awarded the Corellian Bloodstripe First Class and the deceased officers and Visha were awarded the Corellian Bloodstripe Second Class. These award ceremonies were held secretly and the exact reasons for the awarding of such high honors is unknown but frequently speculated at. If asked Visha never answers what her bloodstripe is for and rarely wears it.

Betrayal[edit]

Visha entered a period of depression after the events leading to the death of her father figure and fiance. She was awarded command of a new Assassin Class Corvette, but it did nothing to ease her depression and feelings of betrayal. The man she loved and the man who had raised her were both dead, dead in the same night. She found that there was no end to the tears that she could shed for them.

Then, after several months, she once again decided she'd had enough. She, with the help of the remains of Unheils crew, stole the Assassin Class Corvette and ran. There had been no warning to it. She stole the vessel while it was docked for resupply, ordering every hand off the ship except a few that were loyal to her; then she allowed Unheils crewmembers on board, some of whom had been absent without leave for months. Where they went exactly the Space Defense Service never did find out.

Adventure[edit]

Visha is noted to have served among the ranks of many pirates and brigands after absconding with the CDF ship, although it was destroyed early on into her new career she still managed to hold together a crew, find new ships and new work. She became well known for being a stern and unforgiving captain, but successful. There are more than a few systems where mentioning her very name brings the ire of the local police force and the irritation of many honest traders.

She's known to have once worked for the imfamous pirate Sam Vane, to have raided ports up and down the Corellian Trade Spine and personally scarred an officer of the Hapan Consortium. There may be a few bounties on her, although so far she managed to avoid every having to deal with them by maintaining a loyal and loving crew and a talent for the intrigue of the underworld.

After the loss of a ship Visha found herself without work for a short time, however a chance run-in with the ambitious Sniping101 brought her and her unemployed crew to his vessel, Corellian Hound. At first it was an easy assignment, make money, be available for his uses. During this period she spent much time doing large scale smuggling, protection and intel gathering.

Visha was the one that originally formed dedicated boarding parties, groups of crew members who, in addition to thier regular duties also served as the combat forces of the ship. She was successful beyond her wildest dreams in doing so, creating some of the most deadly, if not exactly disciplined, fighting groups in the underworld.

The Osk Company[edit]

It was because of this that on one fateful mission Snipes dragged them out on that The Osk Company was ever formed. Rewarded for thier performance with the ownership of an entire planet both Snipes and Visha understood it would take more than one corvette to protect.

After Snipes initial call to arms, calling in thugs from every part of the galaxy Visha found herself running a fleet, Snipes being too flippant to do it himself.

As it is Visha tends to control the entire fleet, coordinating things from her vessel, thankful of the upgraded communications. In this task she's well known for being harsh and of a quick tongue, intolerant of stupidity or disobedience.

She does hold an enormous, if somewhat mysterious, respect for Snipes and does not tolerate questions as to his authority. Dispite her hard exterior, however, she is much loved by her crew who are more than willing to follow her into the maw of death and by proxy extend this same respect to Snipes and his Lieutenants.
