Jegora is a complex individual. He has been a member of the Vast Empire Armed Forces, in one form or another, for a little under eight years. Through his years of service he has picked up a multitude of skills. Although he performs them all well, he doesn't perform any of them with stunning excellence. He is, in fact, a Jack-Of-All-Trades, skilled in many areas, master of none.
Jegora is especially known for his combat prowess. He is extremely adept at close range, hand-to-hand combat, possessing a physical strength and speed, not to mention stamina, that is rarely matched, let alone surpassed. He is also an extremely capable marksman, both at medium and long distances, although he is by no means a qualified sniper. It is unknown how Jegora came by such a wide combat skill set, but it is expected that his brief stint on the MIA list, not to mention his classified Special Forces training, played an important role.
Beyond his combat prowess, however, Jegora also possesses a keen mind. He is extremely analytical in nature, something that his cold personality accentuates perfectly. He can easily absorb and process large amounts of information, and he very rarely forgets something after being told once. All these traits, combined with an intimate understanding of warfare at its most basic level, are the primary reasons that Jegora was promoted to the Tactical Officer position.
Bio
Appearance
Tall and physically imposing, Jegora is the ideal specimen for the Stormtrooper. Standing five inches over six feet and weighing in at nearly two hundred and thirty pounds of solid muscle Jegora is a verifiable mountain of a man. He stands erect at all times, a soldier to the core, and always appears to be tense. He has often been described as a coiled snake by those who meet him, and an angry bear to those that have to fight him in melee combat.
Besides his size Jegora's most alluring feature is his eyes. His eyes, which seem to alternate between a hard, steel-blue color and a light gray color at random, are clear and forceful. His gaze is disturbing, and he often lacks the tact to realize that he is making people uncomfortable.
Possessing black hair cut fairly short and the beginnings of a full beard, Jegora often appears to be some sort of wild man, an outlaw or a bounty hunter, but definitely not a stormtrooper. However, for military functions where proper appearances are required, Jegora shaves his beard and gets a haircut, making himself appear slightly more civilized. It isn't long, however, before the wild looks are back again. To this date, Jegora has never been chastised by a superior officer for his slightly unorthodox appearance. At least, not more than once.
Personality
During his time in the Navy, Jegora was known as a by-the-book man, never breaking any rules and following orders to the fullest. He never drank, never partied, never smoked, never did any of the stupid things that get sailors in trouble. He was a cold individual, making few friends and even fewer enemies, keeping to himself and doing his work as efficiently as possible. When he was drafted into the Vast Empire Naval Intelligence Division, and in effect the Starfighter Corps, much of this behavior changed. He 'thawed' out, becoming more friendly and more open towards the men and women he served with. He retained his ironclad discipline, however, refusing to participate in any activities he deemed 'destructive'.
After Jegora's accident, and his stint on the M.I.A. list, he surfaced in the Stormtrooper Corps as Liam Hayes. Colder and less open than ever, he rarely talked, rarely did anything but his job. He was, to a degree, anti-social, avoiding contact with large groups of people like they were plague-ridden, and even shying away from his own squadmates. He showed little to no mercy in anything he did, thinking first and foremost of himself. He was a terrifyingly effective Stormtrooper, but also a terrifying individual. He had no friends, few acquaintances, and no social life outside the Corps.
Months later, Jegora managed to reclaim his lost memories, and was, almost instantly, transformed into a completely different person. He became friendlier, more open. He seemed to have a new appreciation for life and for friends, and was soon respected, if not liked, throughout the Corps. He still retained his cold and merciless demeanor on the battlefield, which kept his ruthless efficiency intact, but a human side was beginning to show. It has been determined that this thawing-out of his character is in no small part due to his relationship with an as-of-yet unnamed associate.
Still, a black shadow seems to hang over Jegora, and it is only a matter of time before those spectres come back to haunt him.
Once he was promoted to Platoon Commander, Jegora become much more academic in nature. He seems, in general, to be calmer, and he can also be found studying holobooks on various subjects from languages to tactics to galactic history. It is unknown what caused this shift in behavior, but there is no doubt that something has certainly changed. Since becoming the Army's Tactical Officer, Jegora was revealed an extremely sharp and inherent grasp of tactics. He has also revealed an extremely analytical mind, and the ability to process large amounts of information with ease. All in all, Jegora seems to be settling down as he becomes less involved in direct combat operations. It is not to be assumed, however, that he is harmless; Jegora is, deep down, still a highly trained and lethal warrior, and his strict discipline is matched only by his temper.
Quick History
Jegora was born fifteen years before the Battle of Yavin on a small planet designated M278J54X by the Galactic Empire, but more commonly called Hester 8. He is Corellian by birth, being born on Hester 8 during his parents travels. Soon after his birth he returned with his parents to Corellia. There the trio took up residence on one of the great orbital platforms that floated above the nearly pristine world. His parents were starship mechanics, some of the best in the Core worlds. From them he learned much about starships, and he uses that knowledge to this day. In fact, it has been commented that Jegora feels more comfortable around his starships than he does other people.
The events surrounding Jegora's abdication to the Vast Empire are mysterious at best. Investigation into Jegora's past bring to light the family altercations that led to his departure. His father and mother, while being brilliant starship mechanics, were also strict and unbending when it came to the discipline of their son. This explains much of Jegora's cold demeanor and his unshakable self control. They were also staunch supporters of the Galactic Empire, right up until Emperor Palpatine was murdered. After that time, they began to show sympathetic tendencies for the Rebel Alliance and the later New Republic. By this time Jegora, who was nearly eighteen years old, was a major supporter of the Galactic Empire himself. He idealized the order that the Empire sought to bring to each and every system in the entire galaxy, and he made plans to enlist as soon as possible. When he found out that his parents' had shifting views, however, he was devastated.
After a terrible argument in which horrifying things were said and countless bridges were burned, Jegora left his family's wealthy estate on Corellia. We wandered the trade lanes for a year, doing odd mechanical jobs for food. He heard whispers of a new Empire, and managed to find transport out into the Unknown Regions of space. He showed up one day at a recruiters, wanting to enlist in the Navy, bypassing an Officer's Commission for the quicker route of a Naval Mechanic. It wasn't until he was in the Navy for over a year that Jegora was drafted into the Vast Empire Naval Intelligence Division, received his Commission as an Officer, and joined the Starfighter Corps.
On a routine mission Jegora suffered a terrible accident. He was put on the M.I.A. list, and resurfaced months later as a senior Non-Com in the Stormtrooper Corps. The reasons and causes for his accident, disappearance, and his replacement in the STC are unknown and unguessed at. Jegora prefers it that way.
Jegora moved through the ranks and positions of the Corps fairly quickly, moving from a trooper to an assistant squad leader, and eventually to squad leader of Jester squad. After the consolidation of Storm and WildCard platoons, Jegora was appointed the Platoon Commander of WildCard. Due to his effective leadership, his talents were soon recognized and exploited by the Army High Command. Jegora assumed the position of Tactical Officer, along with an Officer's commission, the position he currently holds. It is said that although Jegora was an extremely effective soldier, his inherent grasp of strategy and tactics, not to mention his not inconsiderable intellectual prowess, has made him a force to be reckoned with on any battlefield.
In his free time, Jegora has also seen working on various mechanical pursuits. First among these pursuits is his personal E-Wing Escort Starfighter that was gifted to him by an unknown associate. Having spent hours remodeling the ship, the E-Wing is now Jegora's starfighter of choice whenever he has to fly anywhere, although he does opt for more comfortable transports for long distance voyages.
In recent months there have been rumors that Jegora has participated in several less-than-legal operations. These rumors remained neither confirmed nor denied by any party, but there is a particularly incriminating holorecording circulating of a rather unique E-Wing starfighter.
So far, Jegora has maintained his silence on the subject.
