Shipping flotilla

Chronological and political information
Era(s)

The Royal and Allied Flotilla — usually christend 'R.A.F.' was founded eight years ago when Brion Bacredi was taken by the hands of the Empire. He left many ships to his son, and their pennant — the CMF — was dissolved with Brion's legacy. Geoffrey Roebuck — a former CMF captain — and Jack Priors — a friend — helped Zhar found the shipping flotilla.

—Captain Kole, R.A.F.

The Royal and Allied Flotilla is the successor to the CMF and a subdivision of BacCo, and is a shipping flotilla that receives crates upon crates of shipping material and ships them to their destination under heavy protection. The R.A.F. has a large reputation for working with BacCo and other organizations that do not have such protections. The R.A.F.'s board has Zhar Bacredi (CEO), Geoffrey Roebuck (CFO), and Jack Priors (CSO) — along with many other men that formerly worked with the CMF. The R.A.F. has thirty-plus ships, and over one hundred fighter-escorts.

All ships under the R.A.F. banner has the designation of "RAF" in front of the ship's name (Example: RAF John Doe). The R.A.F.'s fleet is composed into two forces: Main Escort Force and Main Assault Force, led by the Invincible and Devonshire respectively. The fleet has a large number of Assault Frigates (Devonshire, Bedford, Somerset, and Iron Duke) which are used to search areas of destination for the Main Escort Force. The Main Escort Force uses gunships and corvettes for protection. Subdivisions of both forces are the Intelligence Task Force and the Fleet Air Arm (FAA).

History

The R.A.F.'s predecessor — the Controlling Manifest Force — was created two years before the Battle of Yavin. And it was dissolved (as per Brion's will) after the Battle of Endor, due to Brion's death. After this, Zhar Bacredi (the inheritance of all the ships) created the R.A.F. with an old friend — Geoffrey Roebuck — and Roebuck's assistant, Jack Priors. Roebuck became the Chief Financial Officer, in charge of the vast holdings of the company. Priors was put as Chief Shipping Officer, who was in charge of the shipping arrangements of the company.

The flotilla quickly became larger as it attracted more ships with a higher value than other corporations. Roebuck used the funds available to him and began to liquidate the funds and put them largely into stocks. Roebuck — a former banker — was able to calculate the stocks and they soon peaked over 50 percent. He sold half of the stocks and showed Bacredi the progress — they had reached the amount of credits that they had started with. Bacredi was busy with others things, however, and he congratulated Roebuck without realizing the importance of what he had done.

The stocks soon peaked 100 percent and Roebuck sold them all, and as Bacredi noticed this he thanked Roebuck immensely (with 50,000 ICs) and soon began to purchase more ships. At this time, the R.A.F. had the Devonshire and seventeen other transports with two squadrons. He moved the squadrons out into three wings: Red, Gold, and Blue Wings with many squadrons. Red Wing — Red, Gray, and Yellow Squadrons. Blue Wing — Blue, Green, and Coral Squadrons. Gold Wing — Gold, Opaque, and Royal Squadrons. They were able to purcahse a large amount of freighters at this time as well.

The freighters served a new purpose as the R.A.F. helped the Ykntola Order out - something that Zhar Bacredi was a member of. Rorran Gorma - the Chief of Staff for the Naval Academy - was the leader of the Order, and Bacredi was happy to lend a hand. Jack Priors and Donald Rumpfeld led the effort to help the Order.

Leadership

Zhar Bacredi, Chief Executive Officer

Zhar Bacredi.

Zhar Bacredi.
A loyal terrier to the magistrate. Bacredi's flying career started in Kaph Squadron, where he was reprimanded many times. Those lessons didn't stick however, and he moved through Viper, Kaph, Bulwark, and the 67th.

—Lieutenant Krazanr

First Sergeant Zhar Hoover Wilson Bacredi is cocky, arrogant, self-centered, superficial, one-way, impatient, incorruptible, and egotistical man. Bacredi is the former Naval Training Officer of the Vast Empire Navy. Bacredi joined up with the Vast Empire at age thirty, and was immediately casted into the Vast Empire Naval Intelligence. After a traigic accident in the VENI, Bacredi transferred to the Starfighter Corps. Passing through Kaph, Viper, Nazgul, Bulwark, and the 67th Squadrons, Bacredi was given the position of Naval Training Officer. Bacredi is also formerly a Special Agent of the Vast Empire Naval Intelligence.

Bacredi invested all of his savings into the Seeling Architecture Stock, 250,000 Imperial Credits. The stock soared up, and eventually Zhar became a member of the Seeling Board. Making millions with the Seeling Business, Bacredi eventually went back to BacCo. When Bacredi finally founded the RAF - after Brion's death - and it succeeded the CMF. Bacredi moved his way up the ladder, eventually making the Royal and Allied Flotilla a pinnacle security force in the Outer Rim. It helped secure transports during the time of Zogga the Hutt - a Hutt that was ruthlessly hijacking freighters.

Geoffrey Roebuck, Chief Financial Officer

Geoffrey Roebuck, captain of the Somerset is a stubborn, impatient, womanizing, and most of all - genius. He was born on Somerset III fifty-five years ago to two parents that raised him in their apartment. He later attended the University of Charblix VI and joined the Vast Empire Navy. Eventually working his way up to Lieutenant Commander, Roebuck was way past the retiring age for his type (squadron commander). He retired at age fourty five. He then joined Bacredi's little flotilla and was given the chance to name his very on ship. He named the ship Somerset in honor of his homeworld.

As the flotilla grew, so did Roebuck's responsibility. Roebuck began to invest the RAF's funds into the stocks that began to grow. He was able to give the RAF a large amount of funds for two new freighters - the Bedford and the Iron Duke - both Bothan Assault Frigates. That added to a large amount of transports, including the new RAFRS - Royal and Allied Flotilla Refueling Service - which is commanded by Captain Harper, was able to make a respectable flotilla. Roebuck also pioneered the Main Escort Force, but eventually left it to join with the other Bothan Assault Frigates.

Jack Priors, Chief Security Officer

Jack Priors

Jonathan Priors, born 43 standard years ago on Coruscant. Ever since he has joined multiple flotillas, and began a small traders life. Rank in the Vast Imperial Navy: First Lieutenant, positions held in other small flotillas: captain, trader, the list goes on and on.

Preston D. Kole

First Lieutenant (Ret.) Jonathan "Jack" Priors is a stubborn, genius, book smart, and imposing man. Born Jonathan Priors to Jack and Jennifer Priors on Coruscant 43 years ago, Priors has learned to blend in on many worlds such as Coruscant. After spending multiple years in the tactical section of Naval Intelligence, Priors transferred to the navy and accepted the lowly rank of Senior Crewman. He stayed in the Vast Imperial Navy for seven more years, eventually commanding the 67th Offensive Squadron. After retiring from the Vast Imperial Navy, he was replaced by the late Lieutenant Commander Jones, who died in the 67th (and who was eventually replaced by Zhar Bacredi).

Later in life, he slowly began to move into the traders life. He joined up with the CMF, which was a small flotilla later bought out by the RAF. In the RAF, he was given the command of trading vessel Go To Hell, which was later destroyed while Priors was on leave. After this, he began to move into the tactical department (basically were new shipping lanes were adopted). He was able to find a couple shipping lanes that were in sparse use, but they were eventually flooded with ships again. Ever since the shipping lanes were adopted, he moved into the FAA (Fleet Air Arm) were he began to modify the rickety TIE fighters of the FAA. After he finished all of this, he moved into RAF Devonshire's starfighter command were he is working with Avenger and Steel Squadrons up to about half a year ago, when he was given command of the RAF Iron Duke.

Donald Rumpfeld, Chief Communications Officer

Donald Rumpfeld

Donald Rumpfeld
Donald Rumpfeld was born sixty-eight standard years ago on the planet Dantooine. He has been whoring himself to other fleets, such as the New Republic Fleet and the Imperial fleet - where he eventually gained 1st Lieutenant. But, that all stopped when Zhar Bacredi found him...

Jack Priors

1st Lieutenant (Ret.) Donald Rumpfeld is the current Chief Communications Officer of the Royal and Allied Flotilla and is the captain of the RAF Bedford, a Bothan Assault Frigate. Rummy (as he is commonly nicknamed) was born sixty-eight years ago on the planet Dantooine, to a small farming family. When he was just a child, his parents and brothers were killed my the local gang while Rumpfeld was away at a friend's house. Rumpfeld - who was 15 - came back to find the bodies on the porch and everything on the farm plundered, except the passkey to the starship they owned. The starship was about ten miles away at the nearest starport, and Rumpfeld ran to it. He flew off and then started his naval career from there. He joined the Imperial Navy, and from there the New Republic Navy. He quit after harassment charges and found Zhar Bacredi, who was hiring.

The Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is a 12-seated board (4 of them are taken up by Zhar Bacredi, Goeffrey Roebuck, Donald Rumpfeld, and Jack Priors. CEO, CFO, CCO, and CSO respectively) that is made up of the investors and captains of the RAF. It meets every other month in holo-meetings (Bacredi conducts these meeting at his Dantooine home), and they discuss everything about the flotilla. The notable members of the RAF include: Jack Quayle, who is currently a large investor into the RAF's services and owns Quayle Crops. Jolie Pite, Pite is currently eighty-three years of age and owns the farming company 'Dantooine Goods'. Jonathan Vantosa is another member and currently oversees all transports on his personal frigate, the Fastest Light. He is a huge investor and helped buy new upgrades to the fighters.

Every two years the Board of Trustees elects a "Comptroller", someone that manages all the assets of the RAF and consults with the CEO. The current Comptroller is Liam Blunt.

Locations

Taris

The RAF has a small officers club on Taris, fully equipped with Twi'Lek dancers (hologram, unfortunately) and a communications station. This was provided by Geoffrey Roebuck - as he has findings in Taris that he wishes to keep secret. Taris is also home port for the Lancelot and a few other craft and helps keep the RAF hidden at times of need. Taris is a large amount of the RAF's business.

Coruscant

The Priors estate is used heavily - as it is large - as a safe haven for the captain that wants to go down to the sprawling metropolis.

Phoros

Phoros is the main base of operations due to the fact that Jack Quayle owns large holdings there. The building that the RAF occupies is huge and looks more like a business office. It is the main headquarters for the RAF's communication sectors.

Forces

Main Escort Force

The Main Escort Force (M.E.F.) is made up of the Invincible as its flagship and many other smaller craft. The force is used as a pinnacle for escort ships to one area to another. The tacticians of this force are used to help calculate the safeness of the routes that are taken, and almost all of the buyers of the RAF's services depend on this force to get their goods from one place to another. If the goods are lost, it is up to the Main Assault Force - MAF - to go and retrieve the goods back, or face a suit from the buyer that lost his/her goods.

Main Assault Force

MAF (Main Assault Force) is led by Captain Say and the Devonshire is currently the largest amount of warships put together by the RAF. It makes up the assault frigates - RAF Devonshire (flagship), RAF Somerset (Intelligence vessel), RAF Bedford (Starfighter control), and RAF Iron Duke - and many other smaller craft. These smaller craft are usually the cruisers - such as the Gozanti-Class (Aegis Fate for example) and a few others.

Sub-Divisions

  • Intelligence - the intelligence division is currently the only division that helps the MEF - Main Escort Force - in it's operations. It helps scout routes and such, and currently has the Dauntless and Surprise under her banner.
  • Royal and Allied Flotilla Refueling Service - The Royal and Allied Flotilla Refueling Service is a refueling cluster commanded by Captain John Harper of the RAFRS.
  • Fleet Air Arm - the Fleet Air Arm (commonly abbreviated FAA) is the arm of the fleet that takes control and monitors all of the fighters in the flotilla. The FAA's commander is Commander Shepard. Blue, Gold, Red, Cobalt, and Light Wings all report into the FAA.
