The Aes Sedai, and though them the White Tower, have played a major role in almost every significant event in recorded times.  The Aes Sedai, no doubt, suffered as much from the turmoil of the breaking of the World as much as everyone else. Given the  exceedingly long lifespan of Aes Sedai during the Age of Legends, it would seem possible that at least some Aes Sedai who were alive at the beginning of the Breaking would still be alive after. However, the increasingly  violent nature of the times, from the drilling to the beginning of the War of the Shadow and finally the Breaking, suggest that no Aes  Sedai had survived the entire span, or just a portion of it. The one possible exception may be the Aes Sedai who were involved in the  building of Rhuidean. Though little it likely to be learned from the Aiel because they are generally closed mouthed when it comes to their history.

Almost nothing is known about the organization of Aes Sedai during the Age of Legends, but it is generally accepted  that ajah played an important part, even if it is not like the present day Ajah. Ajah, in the Old Tongue, is defined as "an informal and  temporary group of people gathered together for a common purpose or goal, or by a common set of beliefs." In the first centuries after  the Breaking, the nature of ajah or Ajah changed.
