Mailya was born in Cairhien to a large nobility family. House Cadison was wealthy beyond belief. Mailya was the yougest of her family, but being a girl, she would not inherit the family's wealth. She indulged in other activities. She helped out the servants as a little girl, most often she would run from her nurse-maid and end up in the garden planting flowers.

The gardener was tender and treated her like a princess. Her older brother, Jeremy, was the one who would inherit the estate. He would tease her and sometimes beat her. He knew that he was stronger than her, and always flaunted it. She would run in terror from him and normally hide in the attic. Finally one day her father took ill. She would stay in his room with him and never leave.

Two years of being ill in bed her father finally passed away. Her mother died of grief, but her body was still around. Mailya was struck with grief. She couldn't stand living in the house any longer and left. She didn't know where she was going, but somehow the wheel wove her to Tar Valon. It was a long hard journey, but she meet a companion along the way. Jeadean was planning on becoming a Gaidin. Mailya teased him along the road, but it turned out Mailya would train to become an Aes Sedai. During her training she didn't see much of Jeadaen, but once Raised to Accepted statis she decided to check up on her friend. He had grown even more handsom then when she saw him last. He greeted her and offered to talk awhile. They chatted a long time, way into the dark. Mailya was caught by an Aes Sedai and sent to do chores. Five years later Mailya earned the statis of Sister of the Grey Ajah. The first thing she did was visit Jeadaen. He too was raised. Mailya asked him if he wanted to become her Warder. He agreed and they both knew the love they had for each other.

Mailya became a Sitter for the Grey Ajah and she kept that title for many years. Finally the Arymlin approached her about traveling back to Cairhein. She disliked the idea and took off from the Tower. She was never seen for some time. Aes Sedai and Warder alike went on many adventures. They were attacked by a group of darkfriends on night. On that night, Jeadaen was stabbed in the back. He fought until the last one was dead and fell over himself. Mailya wept, but buried him that night.

She went back to the Tower to ask forgiveness from the Arymlin only to find the old one dead. The new one allowed her to travel to Cairhein and help with the White Palace. It was years later that she accually did this, because her grief was so great.

She arrive at Cairhein and greeted with friendly faces. She knew it well, Daes da'Maer. She was accepted. Sometime later she recieved a letter from her brother wanting her back in the family line. House Cadison had winked out, but was suddenly back. Mailya declined, but found herself face to face with him. She learned of his workings with the Dark One, and the killing of her Warder. She tried to kill him herself, but was stopped.

She ran weeping. She was found by Estur Shade and another Aes Sedai. Estur was stabbed in the gut by Jeremy. Mailya thought quick and not knowing what she was doing, bonded the man to save his life.

Throughout the year Mailya and Estur continued to have their share of problems. They still continue to learn much about each other and grow as they change. Both having the experience of their other partner passing away. Estur having a much harder time with losing his Aes Sedai. Estur Shade died saving his Aes Sedai's life while killing her darkfriend brother. She is now without a Warder and is back in the White Tower.

Brief description:
Mailya is a short fair-skinned Cairhein. She has dark brown hair that hangs past her shoulders. She stopped wearing it in Cairhein fashion once she reached the Tower years ago. She normally wears it tied back, but sometimes it will be seen flowing freely around her shoulders. Her dark green eyes shine with intellegnace and much more. Normally she wears dark dresses of blue, green, black or gray.

Mailya is not quick to show any emotion. She thinks things throught before acting, sometime not even seeming to be thinking at all. She is calm, friendly and well mannered. Though she may appear to have a temper at times
