Biography[edit]

Appearance[edit]

Tannis Soladi looks (and is) young, especially for a member of a veteran unit like the 128th, and his blue eyes lack the jaded malice of his fellow Saints. He spends most of his time buried in the innards of the team's starfighters, and thanks to close proximity to welders and other heat-based equipment, he sports a heavy tan around everywhere but his eyes and hands (he's smart enough to wear goggles and gloves).

His red hair is wavy and messy, and the fact he does absolutely nothing to keep the greasy mess under control shows how little he cares about his appearance. His expression is always distant, and he seems to be staring off at somewhere into space, lost in thought. He never really appears to be focused on the here and now, always thinking ahead to some project. He bears a surprising amount of scars and burns for one so young - proof that even he can make mistakes.

Personality[edit]

Tannis Soladi is a strange creature: He appears to not really have any concept of malice or anger, and in fact doesn't appear to show any real strong emotions at all, except for curiosity and excitement - especially when encountered with an interesting bit of machinery or a tricky challenge. Good-natured to the point of naivety, he is generally nice and friendly to all around him, but he tends to appear bored and disinterested by people, and he doesn't really have any friends.

He is, however, an absolute genius when it comes to the intricacies of technology, especially concerning starfighters and their various systems, and were it not for his drive to test all of his tinkerings, upgrades and ideas in real battlefield conditions, he would likely be far happier in the hangar bay than in the cockpit. His unique talent with technology and his disciplined but imaginative attitude in battle make him an asset to the 128th and have earned him a coveted spot in Aurek Flight.

History[edit]

Tannis Soladi was born on Cardia. His parents were both Stormtroopers, and it was expected that he would follow their lead. He surprised them, however, when he took apart their E-11 Blaster Rifles, managed to increase their efficiency and accuracy, and put them back together at the tender age of seven years old. Realizing that their son had a gift that could be put to use in service to their beloved Empire, his parents took this revelation without breaking stride and enrolled him into the Imperial Technical Academy.

The young boy proved himself to be a savant when it came to machinery, and excelled in the academy, though it proved difficult to keep his ever-wandering mind on track, and he frequently got into trouble for entering unauthorised areas in order to tinker with the high-tech machinery there. He never really seemed to grasp 'right and wrong', but he certainly responded to reward and punishment, and learned to follow the rules - if only because it made things easier on him.

He ended up working as a hangar technician, assigned to the 128th Imperial Interceptor Squadron; one of the best. It was when he took an Interceptor he had upgraded with salvaged jamming technology out for a spin that he captured the attention of Talanis Heckmann, the 128th's 2nd in Command, whom had him tested as a pilot, then managed to persuade the kid into enrolling in the Imperial Starfighter Corps. The young man proved himself creative and adaptable in the cockpit, and graduated with honours.

He has been a member of the 128th ever since.
