Galactic Passport

"By order of His Majesty Emperor Palpatine and the Imperial Space Ministry, to all whom it may concern, you are commanded to permit the galactic citizen named herein to pass without delay or hindrance and in case of need to give all lawful aid and protection. Failure to comply with this order, or the alteration, falsification, or unlawful use of this passport, will result in persecution under existing Imperial statutes, up to and including summary execution." ―Official statement on the Passport

Galactic Passports are registered with the Imperial Space Ministry, by order of Galactic Emperor Palpatine. Issued some time during the reign of the Galactic Empire, these passports allow the bearer unrestricted passage throughout the galaxy. The passports included information about the bearer's identity, including birth date, place of birth, species, and gender. The passport was written in Galactic Basic Standard, using both Aurebesh and the High Galactic alphabet.

It is a major felony to prevent the bearer unrestricted passage, with the punishment being prosecution under existing Imperial statutes, which go up to and include summary execution. The same sentencing applies to those who attempted to use the passport in an unlawful manner or if the passport itself is falsified or altered.
