Kanti Bio-Dome

Location: Arkania

Population: 25 Million

Composition: six levels; the lowest being the warehouse, the level above that being Lower Kanti, the third level is the marketplace, fourth level is Upper Kanti, fifth level is the command level, and the sixth is the gardens and farms.

Command Structure: The head of the bio-dome is the Consul who has executive and legislative power along with the power to veto any motion set forth by the assembly. The assembly consists of two members of each level for a total of twelve members, with the Consul acting as the thirteenth member in the case of a tie. All motions are presented to the Consul as a majority rules system of voting. Kanti does not have a military presence however the ACP (Arkanian Civilian Police) is commanded by a Superintendent.

Faulbourg: Outside of the bio-dome an external city has arisen to do the manual labour jobs inside the bio-dome most of the residents here cope with the harsh climate of Arkania. Typically they find jobs in either the warehouse level, or in the farming level.

Warehouse: The warehouse level consists of four massive floors each floor designed differently to accomodate the needs of anything that is stored there.

Lower Kanti: Considered to be the poor district of Kanti, Lower Kanti's buildings are made of a white stone while the roads are made of a tan stone. Beautiful displays of public works line the streets and the average income per family is in excess of two-hundred-thousand Imperial Credits a year. The "ceiling" is a holograph controlled to simulate weather.

Marketplace: The Marketplace is perhaps the third largest level after the Farm level and Warehouse level, respectively. Here goods can be gotten from all over the galaxy and many shops are owned by those who abide in Lower Kanti. Once again the Assembly has spent many credits beautifying Kanti.

Upper Kanti: Here is where the elite of Arkanian society call home. Much public and private spending have created a model of what all Arkanian cities hope to someday achieve. In the very center is a large park filled with a marvelous sculpture of the Jedi knight Serifa Altunen who became a politician during the Clone Wars. Many of the Arkanians in Upper Kanti are genetically or cybernetically altered, as they easily have the money to afford these luxuries. The buildings are made of a rare dark stone that varies in colour from black to a maroonish red, whereas the roads are paved in the same stone that Lower Kanti citizens use for their houses.

Control Room: The Control room is where the assembly meets once a week and discusses all the issues that afflict Kanti. Here is also where the high-tech external automated defenses are controlled. The Superintendent also commands the ACP from this location in times of crises, throught every level of the bio-dome there are security holo-cams installed, that are constantly monitoring the public places for signs of trouble.

Farms: These levels are the lifeblood of every bio-dome and are at the top to maximize the amount of sunlight without having to always use the artificial sunlight. These areas are set up so that automated sprinklers give the liquids that all the produce needs and in times of harvest men are called up from the Faulbourg in order to lend a hand.
