Appearance[edit]
Reeza Hayek is a slim and somewhat frail looking Human female. She's 5'8", with long red hair and delicate looking facial features - big blue eyes, a small nose and thin lips. She's not the sort of individual one would expect to find serving in a military organization, let alone flying a capital ship. Especially given her at times quite strange taste in clothing...
During a certain classified VENI mission, Reeza also sustained two blaster wounds. They were properly treated afterwards of course and the mysterious Naval branch even offered to pay for any plastic surgery the pilot may have had in mind in regards to the remaining scars... Reeza however refused the offer, choosing to instead keep them as souvenirs from what she calls that which could've been such a great tourist attraction.
Personality[edit]
She's an amazing pilot, one that has thus far experimented with swoop bikes, air speeders, small and large freighters, bombers, fighters, shuttles, small capital ships and for one mission even a large Victory-class Star Destroyer. She enjoys experimenting with new things but above all she enjoys simply flying.
Although highly skilled, the woman is also quite eccentric as well. She dresses differently, talks differently and even acts differently whether on duty or off.
She's rather childish as well, though it's unclear to exactly what extent. It has been theorized - though never proven - that Reeza is in fact trying to appear less intelligent and capable than she actually is. The purpose of such a facade though is unclear...
Regardless, she's very friendly and easygoing. Very talkative too, able to go on for hours at a time even about the most boring possible subjects...
She also has a strong survival instinct and a generally good gut feeling. She utilizes both of these not only when flying a ship but also during day-to-day activities as well.
History[edit]
Reeza Hayek was born on Lotaith, the very capital of the Vast Empire. Although her parents tried to provide her with a normal education, they could see from early on that their daughter had somewhat different interests than merely playing with dolls or other kids her age.
No, rather than waste time in such a manner, Reeza preferred going out and watching races, or air speeders patrolling the planet's skies, or even the innumerable shuttles and small ships coming and going all the time. She knew even then what it was that she wanted to become when she'd grow up.
She started by first driving her father's landspeeder. Then she managed to get herself involved with the swoop races. She did not own a bike of her own but still succeeded in riding one during various races, most of which she ended up winning in fact. She was still a rising star when she decided to quit though and instead try out something more serious.
So it came that she ended up taking a job with a local trading company. For six months she was expected to haul various cargo to and from different places within the Empire's borders. She didn't see enough of the galaxy by doing this job but she did get the chance of actually leaving her homeworld and flying other, larger vessels.
She chose not to renew her contract though but instead volunteer for a position with Lotaith's planetary defense forces. For a whole year Reeza was able to fly even more types of ships, including military air speeders, dropships, gunships and a few shuttles on a couple of occasions. That still did not feel fulfilling enough though so when her year was up Reeza decided to next join the actual Navy instead.
The Academy was a breeze for her, managing to graduate the very first of her class with plenty of recommendations from most of her instructors. It was in fact this feat that drew another Naval branch's attention to her... and her potential. Rather than being assigned to a regular squadron, Reeza Hayek was instead asked to help fly various ships during various missions. Missions that she'd be unable to ever speak about... To anyone... Under penalty of death...
Her current assignment as pilot of a Carrack-class happens to be part of one such assignment...
