Biography

Appearance

Ryukuzed is a Twi’lek of fairly short height and average weight, but not overly fit either. He has a skin color of a deep yellow with decorative tattoos on his Lekku. His eyes are a very dark yellow, almost indistinguishable from his skin color. When not on duty he likes to wear clothes of a blue or red color to clash with the abundance of yellow that is natural to his body. He walks very proud and upright as a way to compensate for the massive clumsiness he seems to be unable to avoid.

Personality

Joining the Imperial Navy is Ryukuzed’s first real time spent away from the Twi’lek home planet of Ryloth. That said he is very confused and often clumsy when it comes to the finer things in life due to his “shell-shocked” state of being so far away from home. He tries to walk proud and pretend to be knowledgeable and perfect at things but tends to make himself look foolish when it comes down to brass tacks. Although foolish and clumsy, he has a tremendous amount of passion and dedication hoping one day to prove himself among his peers. Ryukuzed is a friendly person and will generally carry on conversation and sometimes be a bit over-talkative. The only thing that truly upsets Ryukuzed in the day-to-day is being called “Zed” and prefers if someone is to shorten his name they call him “Yuk.”

History

From Ryloth to Slavery

Ryukuzed was born on the Twi’lek home world of Ryloth. When he was born his father had already passed away, or was assumed so, and was left with just his mother and an older sibling. The “zed” at the end of his name comes from his father’s first name which was also “Zed.” This is the main reason he gets very defensive when called Zed is it reminds him of the father he never met; he prefers being called Yuk.

Yuk’s entire family was eventually abducted into slavery while Yuk was still a young boy. They were eventually sold to a man who maintained records at the Mos Entha Spaceport on Tatooine. He was forced to learn how to maintain and fix the electrical systems that worked the door systems at the spaceport when he was only ten years old. When he grew older he started keeping records and doing a lot of maintenance work around the spaceport, including part replacement for traders who would come in and purchase parts that needed to be installed in their ships. Yuk spent a lot of time being punished and abused as a slave do to his natural clumsiness about him. As clumsy as he is when it comes to his work he seems to pull it together and avoid it entirely.

After his mother was killed, being unable to dance at the local cantina any longer, him and his brother continued to work at the spaceport to survive. One day an imperial ship landed at the spaceport on a local recovery mission for an imperial criminal. Yuk was assigned to the docking bay where the imperial ship was docked. It turns out the recovery mission was successful and just so happened to be a group of people who were wanted for crimes against the empire. One of the groups slaves as a Twi’lek and as they were boarding them onto the ship Yuk snuck aboard pretending to be one of their slaves. The majority of the criminals were executed for their crimes but the slaves were allowed to join the empire in the fight against the Rebellion. Yuk decided that with all of his experience in repairs he would be useful as a crewman in the Imperial Fleet Command and immediately signed up.
