Becoming an Non-Commissioned Officer
To start on the path of becoming an non-commissioned officer, a member must first be of the rank Corporal and an active member of the Vast Empire for two months. They will be expected to display good behavior and show decent activity. The ideal candidate will also take interest in activities beyond what is expected (such as specialties, wiki work, and/or gaming) and report frequently.
The NCO Qualification Test (which shall be no less than 20 questions) must also be taken by the NCO Candidates, and may be taken at anytime while a Corporal. The exam will permit the member to achieve the rank of Sergeant (or higher) for six months after submission with a passing grade. Should the six months pass without promotion to an NCO rank, they must retake the exam to achieve NCO rank.
Positions Available to Non-Commissioned Officers
Several Positions within the Stormtrooper Corps become available when one achieves the rank of Sergeant or higher, these are (in order of payscale):
- Assistant Squad Leader (Sergeant or higher)
- Drill Instructor (Senior Sergeant or higher)
- Squad Leader (Gunnery Sergeant or higher)
- Platoon Adjutant (Sergeant First Class or higher)
