TIE/d Mk.II Droid starfighter
The original TIE/d Droid starfighters were a simple drone fighter platform capable of preset tactics and manuevers. To a skilled opponent, they were a threat but not much more than Separatist Clone Wars-era starfighters. Their strength came in overwhelming numbers.
Characteristics[edit]
Cybot Galactica revamped their original droid brains and have come up with the Ace-9 model, capable of more advance manuevers and easily upgradeable with newer tactics and strategies. Mk.II Droid fighters are set up to work in teams of three, each communicating vectors and threat assessments with one fighter chosen as a primary strategist. As one fighter falls, the others adapt, and assume command role if necessary. Solo fighters or broken teams scout the battle plane to attract other fighters to complete a new trio.
While still not a proper replacement for skilled, trained, experienced sentient pilots, the Mk.II is the ultimate droid starfighter platform and is a multi-role craft capable of flexibility and adapatability not seen in previous droid models.
