Test Razor

The following is the Exam portion of the Razor Training Course. For this exam, there is not as much in the way of sources, it is mostly Situational questions. "Gut-Instinct" mixed with pages of information covered in the Previous Exam should do you well. Everything on this page is Subject to change by the Naval Training Officer.

For this exam you need to score at least a 75%, or have at least Six Questions deemed correct. That should be simple, just be reasonable in your answers. When sending the Exam in, you must send everything from the section of "Grading Matrix" up to, but not including, the "Sending it in" section or it will be scored automatic failure.

The "Razor" Exam[edit]

1) What is the Chain of Command, how do you use it properly? List the Chain of Command, and where you fit into it. (3 Points)

2) While in flight, your ship is badly damaged and you are forced to make the decision to either eject or die in a fiery explosion. Around you is the First Vast Imperial Fleet, so there is a strong chance someone would pick you up in space, and rescue you. What would you do? If you eject, what would you do once you are in space? If you choose the fiery death, why would you rather that than eject into the cold vacuum of space? (8 Points)

3) You are sitting in your cockpit, on a routine patrol, when suddenly a solid tone starts to go off … a missile lock and launch. You have less than 45 seconds before the missile impacts your fighter. What do you do? (4 Points)

4) For the purpose of this Question, you are a Flight Member. Each week you are required to send in a Report to whom? What must your report include? What are the possible penalties if you do not send in a report? (6 Points)

5) Why would it be a bad idea for a pilot to carry grenades, mines, detonation charges, or other high explosive devices on them while piloting their fighter craft? (4 Points)

6) During one of your Missions, you are shot down on an uncharted planet. You crash, but survive. You have little gear with you, but need to be able to survive for a short or extended stay on the planet. What should you do to be able to survive? (List, and give short explanation of what you need to do.) (6 Points)

7) While on the planet, with the situation mentioned in #6, you obtain a bleeding gash on your left leg during the crash. Your med-pack and Bacta were destroyed in the crash; you will have to treat it the old-fashioned way. How do you treat it? (4 Points)

8) Your a fore mentioned crash took place in a canyon, you now have two options … use the canyon for cover from weather and any hostile native creatures or search parties, or ascend to the high ground to be able to fire off a clear communication out. Which would you do, or what would you do instead? Why do you choose to do that? (5 Points)

Sending it in[edit]

Once you have completed the Exam portion of the Course, send it via Comnet Message Center to the Naval Training Officer (NTO) for grading. After which he/she will send you a reply with either the Grade, Score, & Corrections, or you will receive a notice of Exam Failure. If you fail the exam, you are able to retake the exam portion again after waiting one week.
