- go from green starfighter jockey to Experienced Pilot, unlocking ability to fly the TIE Bomber
- go from Experienced Pilot to Elite Pilot, unlocking ability to fly the TIE Avenger
- go from Elite Pilot to the coveted title of Top Gun, unlocking the ability to fly the TIE Defender
- completing this certification track earns the certificate-holder priority status for leadership within the Starfighter Corps
Mission 1: TIE Bomber Pilot[edit]
The candidate will learn to fly and operate a TIE Bomber at a superior level, whether in training, combat, or some combination of both, over the course of a complete story (with a beginning, middle, and end).
- Note : The candidate must demonstrate competence with the "Ground Attack" skill prior to attempting this mission.

Mission 2: TIE Advanced Pilot[edit]
The candidate will learn to fly and operate a TIE Avenger at a superior level, whether in training, combat, or some combination of both, over the course of a complete story (with a beginning, middle, and end).
- Note : The candidate must demonstrate competence with the "Advanced Flight Maneuvers" skill prior to attempting this mission.

Mission 3: TIE Defender Pilot[edit]
The candidate will learn to fly and operate a TIE Defender at a superior level, effectively becoming the best starfighter pilot possible. This will happen over the course of a complete story (with a beginning, middle, and end), which must involve the player-character commanding at least one other pilot (an "element") but no more than three other pilots (a "flight") in one or more combat situations.
- Note : The candidate must demonstrate competence with the "Starfighter Tactics" skill prior to attempting this mission.
