THE VET SPOTLIGHT
Posted by VE Reporter
Welcome my fellow Imperials to the first edition of The VET Spotlight. For those of you who have never seen the previous issues of The VE Interviews, this is basically the same thing, but with a little more spice as the weekly issues come along.
Now, before I bore you all to death with my history lessons, let's give a big round of applause to my first guest! He's the Platoon Adjutant of WildCard Platoon and the Squad Leader of the illustrious Raiders. Give it all up for Sergeant Major Rizzit!
*Plays the sound of applause*
VET: So, how did you originally find The Vast Empire?
Rizzit: I was originally recruited by at the time: SGM_Cosmic. He "dragged me in "from that evil planetworld" that we call the zone.
VET: What do you think about our current activity situation at hand, and what changes would you make (if any) to increase activity?
Rizzit: As far as our current activity goes, I really have to say I am dissappointed. I know many of our troopers have the potential in them to be active, I've seen them do it. Many of them lack either the will or the time needed to be active. However, there are those who are active. The Raiders and Wraiths are both in my opinion very active from Wildcard
Platoon as is the Jester Squad in Storm. I see good promise from the DarkDragoons, so I would have to say that it looks like there is hope. As far as changes go, I would like to bring back the weekly gaming nights. Maybe if we can have a regular time to meet that is workable for all that would be possible. Recruits, definately need to come in more. Over a
month's time, I think I've seen maybe 14. That is a record for recruits as of late; and that is really sad.
VET: What do you think of the members? On a scale of 1 to 10?
Rizzit: As for the members of the VE, I will give them a 10. I get along great with just about everyone here, and I really am truly grateful to have been able to spend these past two years with them. We have the best members around, it's like being in a big family. Every member has their own special qualities about them wether it be in activity or just in what they say: they're all terriffic. Numberwise, gets a 3 though. We need more recruits coming in, and more often.
VET: Do you have a particular role model you try to mold yourself after? If so, what attributes does that individual have that make you view him or her as a role model?
Rizzit: My role model if any in this club would have to be Colonel Cosmic. It was Cosmic who brought me in and showed me the ropes. He taught me the true meaning of activity back when I first joined. Since then, he has often been a source of advice and friendly conversations. While I joke a
lot, we're both very serious about everything, including the VE. Never did I ever see someone so dedicated to the VE that at the peak of his activity
leaves a line of fun to sit at a desk and welcome in the new recruits. He also had the best Leadership skills I had seen at the time, and probably
still does.
VET: What's your favorite Star Wars movie, and why?
Rizzit: My favorite Star Wars Movie is Attack of the Clones. Most would say for the special effects, but I like all the action that is in the movie. It shows how us Stormtroopers came into play, and that we originated as CloneTroopers from Kamino. It also shows the beginning of the end. The old Republic starts to fade away, and we begin to see many signs of the start of the Galactic Empire. Not to mention, while we may be an Imperial group and all: Who didn't love seeing Yoda flip around for his 3 minutes at the end?
VET: Do you consider yourself a good trooper/member? Why?
Rizzit: I do consider myself to be a good trooper. I have encouraged many to become more active in my time, and hopefully my influence will continue to take its place. However, I will be the first to admit that I am not perfect. Sometimes I do overstep my boundaries, but I regain them quickly.
I have plenty of room for improvement, but I don't see that as a failure. "What we do, does not define who we are. What defines us is how well we
rise after falling."
VET: Who is your favorite Star Wars character and why?
Rizzit: My favorite Star Wars Character would have to be Yoda. I like how he can go from being so serious to a "comic jokester", so to speak.
VET: Describe your character. What are his likes and dislikes?
Rizzit: My Character as I made him likes order, but never seems to attain it. His strageties are always made off of what he has to deal with. A plan is
never made, its created as he goes along. Rizzit does like to joke if he can, he does know when to and not to joke though. What he doesn't like I guess would be a mission that is totally laid out and goes exactly as
planned. Like my character, I make things up as I go. I never spent the actual time creating a way my character is. Frankly, none of us are a specific type of way; plus, the type of person you are seen as varies by the eyes of the beholder.
VET: What has been your favorite moment thus far in The Vast Empire?
Rizzit: My favorite moment in the Vast Empire was back when I joined. I joined 2-weeks into an ESC. Let me tell you did we work back then. Everyone was in competition in every aspect of the VE: gaming, writing, graphics, recruiting, web design, and the others. Everyone worked their butt off
much like they should be doing now. When everyone was active, that was my favorite moment.
VET: What did you have for breakfast?
Rizzit: For breakfast I just had cake. We got finished celebrating my sister's 13th birthday, so that's my "breakfast of champions" for the time being.
VET: Well, Sergeant Major Rizzit, thank you very much for joining us for today's first edition of The VET Spotlight, and a congratulations and "Happy Birthday!" to your sister!
Well, there you have it folks. Thank you for tuning in to this weeks first edition of The VET Spotlight. Join us next week as we interview more of The Vast Empire Army's troops!
