THE VE TODAY SPOTLIGHT
Posted by VE Reporter
Welcome my fellow Imperials to another issue of The VE Today Spotlight. I am your host, Mr. VE, and have yet another guest on the show. His Callsign is the Roman god of War... if you haven't figured it out yet, then that's fine. We'll begin this interview another time.
Just kidding! Keep them butts in those seats! Give it all up for Corporal Mars!
*Plays the sound of applause*
VE Today: Well, welcome you Roman god you to this week's issue. *Get's into his Australian voice* Now, I'm going to ask you a bunch of questions, and I want them answered immediately! How did you originally find The Vast Empire?
Mars: I've known about the Vast Empire for quite some time before I actually joined. I liked to follow the Outer Rim Wars so I knew many of the major Star Wars groups out there.
VE Today: *Flexes* Ah, yep. The ORW. Good times. Got our as... bottoms handed to us, but at least we had some activity and participation! Hoorah! What do you think about our current activity situation at hand, and what changes would you make (if any) to increase activity?
Mars: I think this current situation conserning activity is looked over by some and talked about, but not acted on, by others. To increase activity, I'd cut all the slackers and distribute the new recruits about the squads. I know when I was a new recruit, being in Drill squad was not very interesting
nor much fun. Another step to activity is to generate a higher population of people on at the same time. This could be accomplished by holding IRC
RPGs. I know when I was in other clans, having a real time RPG was great, and, during the story, we'd act out battles and duels in games, great fun.
VE Today: Hmm. Well, now that the illustrious Colonel Cosmic has taken the reins of Drill, perhaps a new definition of "fun" will rise. What do you think of the members? On a scale of 1 to 10?
Mars: Well, I don't know much of the current members because I never see or talk to them. Just from the Comnet, I can see that this bunch is fun and want to have fun, so I give the ACTIVE members a perfect 10.
VE Today: *Plays a loud half-time horn* Woooo! I think that is the only 'perfect ten' that we've had on the show! *looks at his crew of cardboard and nods* They agree. Do you have a particular role model you try to mold yourself after? If so, what attributes does that individual have that make you view him or her as a role model?
Mars: I don't have just one role model but several. My role models are the people who strive for the pursuit of maximum 'funness'. I can only hope to
meet the challenges as all those people have to achieve the greater goal.
VE Today: What's your favorite Star Wars movie, and why?
Mars: My favorite Star Wars movie would definately have to be Episode IV. This is because it is the one that ultimately introduced the intire Star Wars Universe. And on another note, I just plain like Tatooine.
VE Today: Heat is good. *me touches his hip and plays a sizzling sound* Do you consider yourself a good trooper/member? Why?
Mars: I do consider myself to be a good trooper as should most everyone in the Vast Empire. Being a good member doesn't have to mean that you attend everything or win everything, but it is just trying your best and having fun. If you are having fun, consider yourself a good trooper.
VE Today: Who is your favorite Star Wars character and why?
Mars: My most favorite Star Wars character is Exar Xun. He is one bad Sith, which is always cool, and gives the Jedi a run for their money.
VE Today: Ah yes. Excellent choice. Too bad there aren't a lot of images of him. I need a Sith to hang on my wall, especially if the eyes are glow-in-the-dark. That'd be tight, sweet, and yes: phat! Describe your character. What are his likes and dislikes?
Mars: The character I used for the Vast Empire has been around long before I joined up. My character, Coris Swift, was born in the Tion Cluster, which is Imperial territory. Naturally, he was raised with the Imperial ideology that states we are right and you aren't. He'll crack jokes most of the time, but when the time comes, he'll crack the whip. Organization and cleaverness are the atributes I like to associate with him.
VE Today: What has been your favorite moment thus far in The Vast Empire?
Mars: My favorite moment in the Vast Empire would have to be when I transferred to the Dark Dragoons. At that time, the squad was still very much active and in the middle of the story, so interacting on a new level was very exciting.
VE Today: What did you have for breakfast?
Mars: Breakfast, eh? Well, I munched on some cold cereal and biscuits with jelly, the breakfast of choice for the Midwesterner on the go.
VE Today: Hmm. Interesting. Well, thank you for having us on the show, Mars! Be sure to check the bottom of your pants for stains before heading out the door. One of my crew members wanted to play a prank, and I went along. I'm easily seduced. Anyway, thank ya!
That's it folks! Tune in tomorrow for another issue of The VE Today Spotlight, where you'll never know what the Reporter will do...
