THE VE TODAY SPOTLIGHT
Posted by VE Reporter
Welcome my fellow Imperials to another issue of The VE Today Spotlight! *Takes a sip of his coffee* My next guest is fairly new, but he has proven himself to be an incredible asset to The Vast Empire. He's already been awarded some medals, so let's give it up for Lance Corporal Rema!
VE Today: Well, thanks for coming onto the show, Rema. I have been, of course, very busy with my impressive new show, but I'm glad I got to squeeze you in. Now, how did you originally find The Vast Empire?
Rema: I originally found the Vast Empire from Rustichituk. This happened about a year ago, and i looked at the VE but never got into it.
VE Today: Hmm. Shame. 365 days of missing out on us. What do you think about our current activity situation at hand, and what changes would you make (if any) to increase activity?
Rema: I think the activity is a big problem for the entire VE. It seems to be worse in the navy than anywhere else. I have voiced a few of my opinions on this matter to yourself and fury, but they have been flawed because of my lack of exp. Since i have been around a little longer, and talked to senior officers, i have had a few ideas. The stories seem to be a big thing, and maybe in order to spur activity for the entire VE (not just the army) we could have a giant story. Maybe the story could be that the New Republic invaded the VE or something else. (The New Republic might not be so good because it would alter Expanded Universe history) Also, maybe more
competitions between the squads or maybe even Army vs Navy. These are all big ideas, and will need some other things leading up to these.
VE Today: Ah yeah... *shivers* The Navy. A friend of mine was in the navy. Tarkin was his Callsign. Poor bas... bantha. Died in a weird way: his TIE exploded. What do you think of the members? On a scale of 1 to 10?
Rema: On a scale of 1 to 10, i would have to say members are a 10. (The active ones that is) They all are fun and helpful. I hope that as i stay active with the VE, i will get to know everyone better.
VE Today: Ah. *waves his finger in front of the camera* See that troopies? The active ones get tens. Better up your game.... or face my wraith! *claws at the camera lens* Do you have a particular role model you try to mold yourself after? If so, what attributes does that individual have that make you view him or her as a role model?
Rema: The role model i kinda mold myself after is Grand Admiral Thrawn. It is kinda odd, but i think he has a lot of good characteristics and values. I love how he isn't a normal selfish Imperial warlord. He truly works for the good of the Galactic Empire. I loved how he was such a good tactician and how he was honorable, yet ruthless at the same time. He was intelligent and was the Galactic Empire's last and
best hope.
VE Today: Admirable. What's your favorite Star Wars movie, and why?
Rema: My favorite Star Wars movie is most likely Return of the Jedi. I love and hate that movie. I love it because it show true Imperial might, and it has a lot of action scenes. Oh, and Emperor Palpatine is in it. I hate it because it is kinda unrealistic. I know I'm being kinda obsessed and picky, but the Rebels would have died at close range with the SD. Also, the Imps. on Endor acted like fools, they surrendered to a few Rebel Commandos, and a group of furry animals with sticks and stones. Sad almost.
VE Today: Another for RotJ. *frowns* Do you consider yourself a good trooper/member? Why?
Rema: I consider myself a good member and a good trooper. I wowouldn'tnow the trooper
much yet because i hahaven'teen in any skirmishes with the VE. I think I'm a pretty good member because I'm very active. I have recruited a fair amount of people and am posting on the Comnet and talking on mIRC. I also have been doing aa lot of
"research" on the VE and seeing what i have missed in its past.
VE Today: Well, I can say this truthfully and without regret: You have been doing an pretty awesome job with that recruiting. Who is your favorite Star Wars character and why?
Rema: My favorite Star Wars character is from the New Jedi Order series. He is a Yuuzhan Vong executor named Nom Anor. I love Nom Anor, because he is just overall very amusing. He tries hard to get promoted and to get more power, but his plans always seem to get screwed up by the Rebels. He has although done aa lotof good for the YV and got them pretty far. The Vast Empire might not like him that much because he helped ddestabilizedthe Galactic Empire, thus leading to the rise of the New
Republic. He is very sneaky and is good with propaganda and espionage. He is a perfect spy, but always seems to have bad luck follow him wherever he goes.
VE Today: Nom Anor. Interesting thing going on there. Describe your character. What are his likes and dislikes?
Rema: My character is named Reon Elos. He loves the Empire and its teachings/ways of ruling. He ddidn'tcare about the Rebel's until he was almost killed by a senator from the New Republic, so he thus hates the Rebels. He dislikes brash and brutish
soldiers, and likes order and the thrill of battle. He loves being in tactical command of forces because of his previous work as one, and because his father was a tactician for the Galactic Empire.
VE Today: What has been your favorite moment thus far in The Vast Empire?
Rema: Since i have only been with the VE for about a week, i haven't seen much. I have
enjoyed talking with all the other members and finding out what squad i was working with. I also enjoyed reading the Emergency on Fresia and am looking forward to the next story.
VE Today: What did you have for breakfast?
Rema: For breakfast I had waffles, milk, and a cinnamon roll. mmmmmm.. Cinnamon Rolls.....
VE Today: Nice. I really don't eat breakfast because I'm with tha ladies in the morning... but I do have lunch. Really no dinner....
Well, that's it folks! Tune in tomorrow for our last interview! Well, not the very last one period, but the questions will be difference for each interview starting right after tomorrow's interview, so that's something to look forward to. Well, thanks again for tuning in! This is Mr. VE, signin' off.
