IMPERIAL CENTER UPDATE
Posted by VE Reporter
Greetings my fellow Imperials. I bring to you today some updates on the highly-anticipated Imperial Center - the store for all of your Imperialish needs.
The store itself looks great! It has a very dark look to it, and somewhat resembles The Vast Empire domain itself. Now, onto what you've all been waiting for: the products! When arriving at the IC, you'll be pleased to find that the Top-Sellers items as well as New Items and On-Sale items have been displayed immediately. And of course we can't forget the infamous Imperial Center: Featured Item.
Now, technically Grand Moff Kadann is the Imperial Center's first customer since he has to purchase the various items to test the scripting, however, I would like to announce that the technically-second customer of the Imperial Center is Colonel Cosmic. He is also the Imperial Center's first official customer, and he already has three (count 'em three!) receipts in his mailbox, and boy is he a happy lad!
Well, enough of my babbling! Let's get a word from the Big Man himself, Grand Moff Kadann!
VE Reporter: Lord Kadann, approximately how long did it take you to complete the IC? I know you're still working on it, but it's very near completion.
Lord Kadann: The design process for the pages and layout probably took about 1-2 weeks. Coding it has only taken 2 days.
VE Reporter: Now, the design of the Imperial Center, did you use pretty much the same design as the previous Imperial Center or did you add some of the looks of the VE Domain to it, because the two pages do look somewhat similar.
Lord Kadann: I wasn't really thinking about the domain when making the design... There were just a set number of things I wanted to display and there needed to be places to put them. The design I ended up with looks to be the most efficient design for the IC. I did have to totally redesign it from the origional IC, since the number of volumes in the store at the time didn't work very well.
VE Reporter: The IC has a very dark look to it. Do you plan on keeping it this way or do you have plans to make it more colorful down the road?
Lord Kadann: The dark look is just the base design. I am hoping that the images from the products will stand out more by having it this way. Though, with this design, there is talk of making different color schemes for the different categories, which would make it more personable for each of those.
VE Reporter: With it's basic, yet impressive, look to it, do you think you'll be making any color changes to the IC as a whole reflecting the different seasonal holidays?
Lord Kadann: Haha. That is always a possibility.
VE Reporter: Now, one last question before I let you go: When the IC is officially open, do you expect instant profit and sales?
Lord Kadann: Of course.
VE Reporter: Alrighty! Thanks for your time, Lord Kadann.
Lord Kadann: np.
Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take any photographs of the new Imperial Center, so I'm afraid that you're just going to have to wait until Lord Kadann dishes them out himself or until the grand reopening of the IC. I was quite alarmed when they removed my camera. The guards said it was for security reasons, and I was like "Security reasons? What, it's not like I'm going to hold up the store with my camera and yell 'Freeze or flash!'" Oh well, what's done is done.
We were going to try to grab Cosmic, but unfortunately we missed him. He took off on his brand new Zephyr-G Swoop with sixty-seven more of the exact same swoop trailing behind it. He's got about a dozen boxes of items packed into the swoops as well. He looks like a happy man.
Welp, that's all for this update!
