other choice : the lower version, Illustrator, other vector program you wishes.

Step 1:

Create a new document 300x300px dimension.
why? because the webstandard for banner is 468x60, therefore the final image will be 60x60. So make sure you zoom in and out to make sure all your details are viewable in 60px dimension.
Resolution matters for hardcopy printing, it doesn't matter now.
Background does not really matter, but i prefer plain white.

Step 2:

Create a guide at 150 horizontal and 150 vertical.

It will help you. Honest.

Step 3:

Create a circle 290x290 in the center position.
Why not 300x300?, so we won't have any problem if your image cutted-up in the final rendering.
name it Layer001

Step 4:

Duplicate the circle 5 times
The sizes are up to you, mine was:
270x270
240x240
170x170
80x80
40x40
name it Layer002, 003, 004, 005,006
And use different color for each of them, easier to review later-on
Note : Since we are creating a dead-center image here, use Even numbers because some programs cannot recognize 0.5px

Step 5:

Create a rectangelish shape 16px in width with the pointy on the center.
Duplicate the shape 5 times and rotate it by 60degrees each.

name it Layer007

Step 6:

Create a Triangle shape 40px in width with the pointy on the center.
Again, duplicate the shape 5 times and rotate it by 60degrees each.
group them
name it Layer008

Step 7:

Duplicate the group you created earlier and scale them by 64%.
name it Layer009

Step 8:

Next is move up Layer 6 and 5 to the top

That's it,.. done.
well,.. not exactly, now you should choose either to punch the shapes you don't want or make it as the transparent color.
For advance people, I suggest punching. For the rest, keep reading.

Step 9:

Next is to choose which colors you wish to appear in your image and which is transparent
Set the color you wish to be transparent the same with the color of your page.
Note: Since this page have white background, so I am using white background and the transparent also will be white. Black shall be the color that will appear in the image
select black color for layer 001,003, 009 and 005
the rest of the layer set in on white
say "aaaaaah"

Step 10:

Next is to convert the image to be transparent so you don't see white background when you upload it
note:method below can be done in various ways and may different if you are using other programs. go to optimize panel
set it on GIF, Web adaptive and 26 colours
matte is for smoothing the image for your page, set the color match with the transparent color
click the "add color to transparency" icon (1)
click on the white box icon {2)
then export it
export image

Step 11:
