• The main point of this certification track is not to gain the ability to use bridge technology, but to earn the right of commanding in the bridge and its subsections.

Rewards and Accolades

• go from a generic capital ship crew member to an Operations Specialist, earning the right to handle the Communications station on the bridge
• go from an Operations Specialist to an Officer Candidate, earning the right to handle the Helm/Astrogation station(s) on the bridge
• go from an Officer Candidate to a Bridge Officer, earning the right to handle any bridge station (including Weapons)
• completing this certification track earns the certificate-holder priority status for leadership positions within Fleet Command

Mission 1: Communications Officer

The candidate will learn to understand and operate all internal and external communication systems on Imperial warships, and will then demonstrate mastery of these systems in a combat situation, in a complete story (with a beginning, middle, and end).

Mission 2: Astrogator

The candidate will learn to understand and operate all engine and astrogation systems on Imperial warships (the candidate will learn to plot a course between two points and traverse the distance between using sublight engines, and will learn how to successfully traverse hyperspace for long-distance travel), and will demonstrate a working knowledge of small-scale ship tactics and maneuvers in a combat situation, all in a complete story (with a beginning, middle, and end).

• Note: The candidate must demonstrate competence with the "Astrogation" skill prior to attempting this mission.

Mission 3: Weapons Officer

The candidate will learn to understand and operate all weapons and targeting systems (both energy and projectile) aboard Imperial vessels, and will demonstrate the ability to successfully engage both sedentary and mobile targets in a combat situation, all in a complete story (with a beginning, middle, and end).

• Note: The candidate must demonstrate competence with the "Gunnery" skill prior to attempting this mission.
