Carriers

A carrier would be anything that halls a mass of supplies, troops and military equipment in general. You could say that about any small troop carrier but today we're going to focus on the big ones- primarilly ISDs.

What is an ISD? ISD stands for Imperial Star Destroyer. Imperial doesn't jut refer to the ship's alliance though, it is actually a class of ship. During the late clone wars the Imperator-class Star Destroyer came into existance and was really just a step up from the commonly used Venerator-class Star Destroyer. This Imperator-class Star Destroyer was what we most often times associate as a normal 'Star Destroyer.' If that's all someone says, you can bet that's what they're referring to. After the Jedi purge and the Emperor's rule of the galaxy began, Imperator was changed to 'Imperial' to better suite the fearsome list of ships under their control. The ship
