Physical Characteristics[edit]

Darien is six feet tall and weighs one hundred eighty-five pounds. He has black hair and green eyes. He is toned and defined without being ripped, and he wears dark green cargo pants with a tight black T-shirt and black combat boots.(when not in stormtrooper armor) He has a tattoo of entwined dragons down his back.

History[edit]

Narrator: The scene opens up on two small human children playing amongst the Wroshyr trees of Kashyyyk. Your attention is drawn towards the one with jet black hair and green eyes, his name is Darien ‘D’ Crowe and he is five years old.

Scene: Darien chases after Kyle laughing, “I’m gonna catch you!” “No you’re not!” shouts Kyle breathing in the air which smells faintly of the leaves of the Wroshyr trees, and sunshine. Kyle darts to the left and Darien makes a sharp turn and trips over a root falling to the ground. Darien sniffles as the tears well up in his eyes and the blood seeps from the scrape on his knee. Kyle runs over to him, “Are you alright?” He asks a worried look on his face. D gets up trying his best not to cry, “I scraped my knee.” Kyle helps D into his house where they find Darien’s mom Natasha. “Mama, I fell and scraped my knee,” D says, tears in his voice. Natasha stands quickly and rushes to him, “Oh you poor thing!” She exclaims hugging him, “Let me get the bacta-spray.” She sprays the scrape and kisses his forehead. “Now run along and play.” D wipes the tears from his eyes and smiles. “Thank you, mama!” D exclaims as he runs out of the house with Kyle chasing behind him.

Narrator: Several years pass and Darien is now thirteen. The Scene is his thirteenth birthday party, as he is opening his presents.

Scene: His family and friends are standing there smiling as they wait to hand Darien his presents. Kyle goes first, handing him the slightly rectangular package. D rips open the paper, revealing a brand new datapad. “Thanks man,” D says as he stands to hug his best friend. “I loaded it with the latest programming software and a couple of the newer games.” Kyle said hugging his best friend. His mother gives him his next gift, a sabbaac deck. “Though you’re still too young to really gamble, it won’t hurt to start practicing for the future.” She grins and gives him a hug. His final present comes from his father, “Here you go son, it’s time you learned to defend yourself.” D takes the heavy package from his father and slowly removes the paper revealing a brand new blaster pistol. D’s eyes grow wide as he gently examines the weapon. “Thanks Dad!” Darien says as he tightly hugs his father. His little brother Alexei goos and giggles from his high chair, wanting a hug, and D walks over and picks him up hugging the one year old tightly.

Narrator: Later that same day, the scene is now the local firing range reserved for troopers and their families.

Scene: Darien aims down the range, smelling the air filled with the smell of burned targets and sweat. He pulls the trigger firing a blaster bolt at the target, hitting it in the chest. “Wow! That’s your tenth hit in a row!” his dad exclaims shocked. The day continues like that though D does miss a bunch of shots after his run of “beginner’s luck”. At the end of the day they head home and Darien crawls into his bed and falls fast asleep.

Narrator: Three more years pass and Darien has turned into a handsome young man, and he has no idea about the tragedy he is about to endure.

Scene: Darien is at lunch at school when he gets the news that there has been a Wookie uprising in his neighborhood. Not caring if he gets in trouble or not, he rushes home. Darien stops to pick up the E-11 Rifle and utility belt of a dead stormtrooper, and then he rushes into his house, and stops dead in his tracks. There is blood everywhere, and he sees the ripped apart bodies of his parents and his 4 year old little brother.Three wookies are standing there cheering at what they have done. In a fit of rage D screams and starts shooting at the Wookies, he injures two of them. The third Wookie charges him and slices him across the eye with his blade. D pulls the trigger, firing several bolts directly into the Wookies chest, killing him. D stumbles towards the bodies of his dead family, the air smells of death and blaster fire. Darien drops to his knees and screams a primal scream as loud as he can. Minutes later a friend of his family, SGT. Dalarik arrives with a squad of troopers. Darien rises from the ground and looks the Sergeant right in the eyes, “Teach me how to kill. So that I can stop things like this from happening to anyone else.

Personality[edit]

D is loyal for the most part, honorable and somewhat trustworthy, he can't stand people who don't keep themselves well groomed, and he is a smoker, and he enjoys alcohol especially fine wine, when time permits. He also likes working with computers and other electronics.
