Brief[edit]

The Strike-Class Cruiser Doashim, its name taken from the demon-like 'doashim' of Ryloth, is a multi-task force vessel capable of adapting to various missions. Assigned to Phoenix Wing of the 1st Vast Empire Naval Fleet, it has already seen harsh battle despite its recent deployment, taking heavy damage and losses in its first battle alone. However, headed by Captain Arturus, former pilot of the VEN Starfighter Corps...

Construction[edit]

Built in the Loronar Shipyards of Loronar, the Doashim took only (less time than average?) to build due to a greater influence on the company by the Vast Empire Navy. Though the corporation has no alliance, its reputation for greed and corruption worked to the VE's advantage in attaining the ship. Usually large organizations like the New Republic or Imperial Remnant buy hundreds of thousands of ships at a time, set to arrive over a pre-destined date: thus a rate is established and no special treatment occurs. However, in the case of the Vast Empire Navy, where a large majority of the ships had already gone out to push coreward, more were needed immediately to protect the VE homeworlds. Thus, contracts between the VE and Loronar corporation, though more discreet and lucrative then usual, were put on the table for the creation of a smaller, but highly capable number of ships. Another part of the problem with large orders is that they are done to achieve a minimum price because the normal one would simply be too overwhelming; the VE was able to focus funds for less ships so that they could be more capable when finally built; conquered planets on the way coreward help to ensure these funds exist.
