Appearance[edit]
Eli is a tall and defined Falleen. His leaner muscles, formed by years of hard physical labor, show like ripcords under his green scaly skin. His preferred clothing are terrasteel woven engineer overalls in which any assortment of tools can be placed. He is taller than most at two and a half meters in height.
Personality[edit]
Eli is a somewhat linear thinker. He always starts at point the logical point A then to B and C and ect., and ends at point Z but can skip around between the two e.g. going from C to E and then, possibly, back to D (or he may bypass D altogether). He will follow orders with as much leniency as he can find in them. He needs a fair amount of flexible space to do his work effectively and, in most cases, creatively. He knows his boundaries set by his commanding officers and will not cross them unless they are severely flawed/unreasonable. Eli thrives on sarcasm and can sometimes slip into a sardonic or sadistic state. He is extremely loyal to his friends and is willing to lay down his honor, pride, and, if need be, life to protect them. His creative nature can sometimes get the best of him causing him to be put in unnecessary danger. However, he is extremely lucky and can usually come out with minimal damage done.
History[edit]
Eli "Bolts" Long was a reptilian Falleen born on the SSD Devastator headed by Grand Admiral Zaarin as it was flying to Research station. Due to mechanical failure his mother died hours later. His father Dreezeil was an mechanic onboard the Devastator. After a battle Dreezeil was responsible for fixing the TIE starfighters. However, Dreezeil had also secretly been upgrading the vehicles with experimental schematics that they had made. After a number of pilots reported exponential increases in their fighters' performance, Zaarin looked into the phenomena. It was discovered that Dreezeil had been testing on TIE/in Interceptors. Zaarin made a surprising decision. Instead of arresting Dreezeil, the Grand Admiral stationed the mechanic and his son, Eli, on Research. Zaarin also gave Dreezeil the title of an engineer. For the next year Dreezeil, and secretly Eli, helped work on the new TIE/ad Advanced "Avenger" and later the TIE/D Defender. Eli presented many new ideas and was found to be incredibly adept with engineering. At six years old the tall and strong child could tear down and rebuild all of an Interceptor and most of the Avenger and Defender. When Zaarin executed his coup Dreezeil and Eli fled the Research and came under the protection of Vice Admiral Thrawn, a Chiss. Dreezeil helped the production of the Missile Boat, a craft designed to match the TIE Defender. Eli silently stuck around the engineers at Stygus Spaceworks, only making a few quick, useful, and sometimes sarcastic comments on the models they were working on. The scientists and engineers grudgingly came to terms with Eli's talent and came to him when they needed small tips. The mechanics enjoyed Eli's company, however. Though they weren't engineers the mechanics had more hands on jobs with spacecraft. Eli hung around with them more as he grew older, making several close friends. Those mechanics gave Eli the nickname "Bolts" when he showed them a schematic of a starfighter dubbed the TIE Vampire. Months later Eli had made a fully functional prototype without any funding. He was given the gift of two advanced ion R-7 astromechs titled R7-H11 and R7-K4. Dreeezeil and Eli were moved to the new Sinear designing HQ under now Grand Admiral Thrawn's orders. Eli was placed as a designer and tester of new TIE models. His orders were to create new advanced TIEs no matter the cost.... and the specifications ended there. Eli did his job well and produced several fruitful versions. Some were put on short production lines while others were locked away for a later time. In one test of the TIE Cyclone, Eli lost control of the craft and crashed into the docking station. Through mere dumb luck Eli emerged from the wreckage with only severe burns on his face. Dreezeil was given a similar job. He was put to work on the TIE Oppressor project. However, as Eli's father grew older his skill waned. Nevertheless, the two worked diligently until a month after the death of the Emperor. One night Dreezeil was found strangled in their apartment. DNA testing pointed to a Chiss suspect. Eli fled onboard a new TIE Enforcer with his two R7s for fear of Thrawn. Wishing to follow in his father's footsteps, Eli scanned the Imperial factions for a year. At one point, Eli was contacted by Tenloss Crime Syndicate agents, whom were friends of Dreezeil. After a brief adventure, Eli had learned that his father had also worked for the Tenloss Syndicate, and had left a large inheritance, which after a short trial arranged by the late Dreezeil, Eli accepted. Then, in an attempt to find a shortcut to the old Research station, R7-K4 made a hyperspace jump into Chiss airspace. There Eli was attacked by a patrol squadron of Chiss Clawcraft. He managed to decimate them but his Enforcer had taken some severe damage in the crossfire. Again with some stroke of luck, the hyperdrive was still operational. R7-H11 sent the Enforcer into Vast Empire space. There he was forced to stop at a nearby cantina where he heard talk of a new and well designed ship dubbed the TIE Modular from a drunken pilot. However, Eli was able to coax no further information from the human. With no ship, a Vast Empire recruiting station nearby, and a possible way to be a test pilot and engineer as his father, Dreezeil, was, Eli found himself with no other reasonable choices. He signed up.
