Physical Description Elric Shadowheart has a cropped, military haircut. He has brown hair and green eyes. He is short, with a small, but fit build. His torso, arms and legs are slim and toned. He wears tight shirts and loose pants. He often needs a belt to keep them around his waist. Elric wears combat boots even while off duty.

Personality

Elric has been downed his entire life, due to his shortness. Over time, he got fed up with this and now does everything he can to prove his worth. His height causes him to take quicker steps than most, in an effort to keep up. As an after effect of his spice days, Elric is slightly schizophrenic and suffers from the occasionial hallucination. But he manages to keep it under control just enough to be functional. He is ambitious, loyal, hard-working, dedicated, quick learning, and intelligent. Some may say he’s too intelligent for his own good. His arrogance occasionally leaks out, but he’s not aware of it. Elric does his best to make people laugh, but his jokes are either hit or miss. 50% of the time he’s funny. The other 50%, he’s not. On occasion, Elric can be a charismatic leader.

History

(Summary, more details will be added later.) Elric was born on Naboo. Growing up, he was often teased by his height. This motivated him to succeed, to show his superiority. At the age of 18, he snuck off to Carida, to train. There, he met a young, human woman named Arana. Over time, they fell in love. After 3 weeks of courting secretly, Arana (who had finished basic training) was to be assigned to Thrawn’s fleet. Not wanting to be separated, she and Elric snuck aboard a supply ship. They fled to Nar Shadaa. For two years they lived there, doing whatever work they could find to make credits. They weren’t the richest denizens on the planet, but they survived.

One day, Elric returned home from a spice deal gig. He had served as a bodyguard to the salesman. To his horror, he’d found Arana dead on the couch. She’d been murdered and their small apartment had been ransacked. Desolate with grief, he held an informal funeral for her. Few people attended, for they had few friends. Elric turned to spice for comfort. For an entire year, he stayed high. He committed crimes with impudence, not caring about consequences. He just wanted credits for more spice. One day during these dark times, he saw a recruitment vid from the Vast Empire. After seeing it, he decided it was time to get his life together and move on. So, he checked into a rehab, where he stayed for 6 months. Once released, he took a transport shuttle to the Vast Empire’s Naval Academy and applied for Fleet School.
