Biography[edit]
Appearance[edit]
He is 5' 11", with a well rounded musculature, with clearly defined lines of muscles beneath his skin, a residue from his days as a shockboxer. His head is coved in criss crossing lines of scars, except for his face, which only has one, bisecting his nose. He has no hair, and his eyes are a pale blue.
Personality[edit]
Upon first impressions Ghastly is cold, calculating and distrusting. Upon being greeted he will give you a small nod, or a Greetings, before turning back to whatever he was doing. However if you manage to become friends with him he is fiercely loyal, agreeable and good natured. He is often seen reading some sort of manual, or playing Holo-chess against himself, or various AIs. He has a deep appreciation for technology and likes take things apart to see if he can put them together again.
History[edit]
Tycho Avan was born on Reuss VIII, and grew up as an orphan being cared for by Zolf Vulpine, a Devaronian Shockboxing coach, who taught Tycho to box as soon as he could walk. As the young human grew up, he soon realised that living on a planet entirely controlled by organized crime syndicates left few avenues to pursue honest work. Fortunately, the skills his Devaronian 'father', gave him the option to become a professional shockboxer in the planet's popular sport.
Ghastly, as his ring name became, soon rose in fame within the Reuss VIII shockboxing curcuit, attracting the attention of the numerous crime syndicates. Returning to his regular bar, after one particularly nasty fight against a Gamorrean, he found the entire place in an uproar, focused at a young Mandalorian who refused to be shaken down by local gang members. To start with, Ghastly stood back and watched as the Mandalorian held his own against numerous opponents. However, when several of the patrons started to draw blasters, Ghastly jumped in and beat them soundly. Between the two of them, they put most of the bar's patrons in various states of hospitalisation. The Mandalorian thanked the boxer, and walked away.
A week or so after, Ghastly was in the ring again. This time, however, his opponent was a gang member. Having not forgotten the events that took place in the bar, the Torel Vorne, the most notorious crime lord on the planet, instructed his gang to rig the fight, turning the shockgloves up from their standard 'stun' setting. Incredibly, Ghastly still managed to win the fight, however, due to the extra energy needed to stay alive during the fight, the human boxer was unable to resist when the rest of the gang members pulled him from the ring, and into a side room. Tied to a chair, and barely concious, one of Torel Vorne's lieutenants set a deranged and malfunctioning barber droid loose on the boxer, to give him a 'hair cut'. Head sliced open in several places, that would later result in the scars, the lieutenant left a parting 'gift' of a deliberate cut from one cheek to the other, across Ghastly's nose.
Ghastly stumbled out of the shockboxing establishment, bleeding heavily, and struggling with his respiration mask, he was amazed to find the same Mandalorian from the bar brawl waiting for him. After explaining what had transpired, Ghastly watched in shock, as the Mandalorian disappeared inside the building, and dragged out the squealing lieutenant, forcing him to apologise to Ghastly, before his breathing mask was cast aside forcefully. The Mandalorian took the boxer to the nearest hospital, leaving the lieutenant gasping for breath on the floor. Ghastly's rescuer then revealed himself to be a Squadron Commanding Officer of the Vast Empire's Navy, and offered Ghastly a chance at escaping the crime ridden planet. As soon as he was well enough, the former shockboxer packed what little belongings he had, and boarded a shuttle with his new friend, bound for the Cappadocious.
