Background[edit]
Jix Wenol was born to a pair of Falleen outcasts on Tatooine in 12 BBY. He was brought up around Mos Eisley, assisting his father with his freelance shipping business he was more comfortable aboard a ship then he was on the surface of a planet, and when he came of age his father presented him with his own ship, which he had saved every credit for, and Jix went into freelance shipping for himself, carefully avoiding falling into debt to the Hutts the way his father had early in his childhood. He had continued running contraband until approximately 8 ABY when he was detained by a New Republic Frigate and his ship impounded. He swore on that day that he would do everything in his power to bring down a government that attempted to take away his livelihood. As soon as he was able to get free from the cell he was in, he made his way to the hangar bay and stole a fighter, escaping and vowing that he would have his vengeance on those who cost him, and a few months later, his parents, their livelihood. He initially enlisted with whatever Naval warlord was willing to have him, but when the Plague Wars broke out, he could not stomach the use of biological weapons, and resigned his commission in protest, eventually re-enlisting with the Vast Empire Navy because their ideals were more in line with his.
Personality[edit]
Jix Wenol, usually known to his fellow pilots as DeathWish, is a Falleen pilot known for his crazy antics in combat. He gets along well with the other pilots, having a strong sense of camaraderie, but he does have a bit of a temper when he is drinking. Jix has been known to pick out fights with any New Republic soldiers he comes across, which does make him somewhat of a liability on undercover missions. Jix also has a slight weakness for games of chance, and will often enter into bets with other members of his squadron on the outcome of the missions.
