The MAVr A7 Broadsword-class Repulsortank is the latest addition to the armor complement of the Imperial Armed Forces. While the standard Ubrikkian-designed tanks are still in use in many units, Imperial doctrine now calls for fast moving mechanized infantry deployments

Description[edit]

The Broadsword is designed to deliver a heavy infantry squad to the battlefield and provide supporting fire for their operations. The primary laser cannon is a design specially designed for armored vehicles by Taim & Bak, adding power to their traditional starfighter series without the energy demands of their stationary turret models.

Additional weaponry are two light laser cannon also on the turret and a 20 missile launcher pod capable of delivering a variety of payloads, from armor-piercing to anti-infantry to general smoke/gas warheads. In addition, a top turret hatch ring has a mount for a T-19/21 or E-Web that can be fired by a trooper standing in the hatchway.

In addition to the top hatch, a rear access ramp allow the squad to load/disembark away from enemy fire. Inside is a pressure cabin that can be put in place for hostile environment manuevers. Otherwise, the space is available for a squad of troops plus the crew to survive a week or more of operations should the need arise. Tight quarters and sleep arrangements would have to be done in shifts but entirely manageable.
