Intelligence Skills

Intelligence skills are based on the same rating system as above but apply only to people who have mastered certain professions. These are advanced skills for advanced pilots and require combinations of professions and weapons skills. In short, these 'Intelligence Skills' are the Navy's form of espionage- only people have practiced these skills are capable of using them in a means to accomplish any of the following: Infiltration, Espionage, Information Extraction, Theft, Assassination, Sabotage. There are any number of ways in which to interpret these and we can't site every example here because, quite simply, there are too many for us to think up. Below are some simple examples of how they might be used and a mix of two common abilities to become an expert in that intelligence field.

Infiltration = Mechanic + Survivalist: Someone may be sent to fly into a barren area and slowly migrate their way into city that is several miles out. This would require that the person be able to fly in without being noticed, survive the day's journey to the town, and then engineer a way in, possibly to pick up an item and get back out.

Espionage = Comm Tech + Survivalist: This is the act of spying, and, again, would require a way in which to either fly in unnoticed and work their way to a point of interest to take photos or eavesdrop on a meeting, but would probably require some knowledge of the Holo Net and acquiring information.

Information Extraction = Technician + Medic: These people are in the business of taking information- whether that's stealing or... Taking. Being able to take information from a computer is of absolute importance, but perhaps so it be able to take it from a person- this can be done in any number of ways that are not exactly favorable.

Theft = Technician + Survivalist: This is seperate from simply 'taking information.' This is the act of actually breaking and entering, finding an object of important, maybe it's plans for a new starfighter or an attack plan on a nearby system- but you must physically take it.

Assassination = Small arms proficiency + Espionage proficiency + Survivalist + one of Technician or Mechanic: Assuming you can get near the target, this job is pretty self-explanatory. The man or woman would have to be able to, if possible, discreetly take out a target. However, they may want to do it in public to rouse suspicion and shift the blame onto someone else- these are all dependant on the motives and aims of the attack.

Sabotage = Explosives proficiency + Infiltration proficiency + one of Survivalist or Technician or Mechanic + Surveyor: This is somewhat close to the Theft task because it revolves around getting close to an object and performing some act on it, but usually this requires the object to be destroyed rather than be retrieved. This could refer to machinery, computer databases, or entire bases all together- you decide.
