Ols Point
The Ols Point Reserve Fleet is stationed in orbit around the planet Coveway. As a key location near important regional trade lanes, the planet has been a focal point of starship repair and refurbishing facilities since the Vast Empire assumed control of the installation in 8 ABY.
Purpose[edit]
The Imperial Maritime & Stellar Trade Administration (IMSTA) maintains a fleet of vessels that serve as a reserve of ships for galactic defense and imperial emergency purposes. The reserve fleet program was begun after the Clone Wars to maintain older vessels for possible future use. One of the reserve fleet storage sites is Santigani, and was incorporated into the Vast Empire faction, which maintained the vessels and facility. Ols Point, given its proximity to the Core lanes, was tasked with storing large capital craft and heavy transport craft. Many of these were heavily utilized in the resettlement of the Plague Wars refugee populations, as well as providing the initial ship complement to the "Frontier Fleet" which later became the Fourteenth Fleet.
Facilities and Crews[edit]
IMSTA maintains a facilities crew of 7,500 technicians and mechanics, along with 1,800 defense contractors who patrol the fleet yards, as well as the repair facilities that sit alongside Ols Point.
As with other IMSTA sites, naval reservists and contracted merchant marine auxiliaries provide much of the maintenance and annual shakedown flights for the assorted vessels.

As of 12 ABY, Ols Point contains the following vessels along with smaller support craft:
Imperator-I Star Destroyer
Victory-I Star Destroyer
Immobilizer-418 Interdictor Cruiser
A variety of anti-starship frigates, light cruisers, and armed escort craft complement this fleet, as well as refueling, rearming, and other support freighters, transports, and tanker vessels.
