Training Regime/Story Requirements[edit]
Shocktroopers are the elite of the elite, the toughest of the tough. They're on the frontlines, in the thickest part of the battle. They hit first, they hit the hardest, and they're usually the last ones out of a battle zone. A shocktrooper is a brutal tool of destruction, both a physical and psychological force on the battlefield. A platoon of shocktroopers can, and will, destroy anything and everything you point them at, given enough time and the right tools.
The Stormtrooper Corps is, by definition, a corps of shock troops. However, there are subdivisions even within the Corps. The best of the best are sent to the infamous Camp Carvey, one of the most rigorous and strenuous training camps in Vast Empire space. There stormtroopers undergo the most advanced shocktrooper training anywhere in the galaxy. By the time a trooper graduates from Camp Carvey, he or she is considered to be one of the toughest and most dangerous individuals to be found anywhere. Period.
Troopers will write a total of six thousand words about their time at Camp Carvey. This word requirement must be broken up as follows:
- Three, 2000 word stories. Two of these stories will deal with various aspects of shocktrooper training, listed below. The final story will be set during a practical, live-fire simulation exercise in which the trooper will demonstrate his or her mastery of the shocktrooper's sills.
