Sapper[edit]

Sappers are rightly feared by the enemy for their sheer destructive potential. An elite branch of Combat Engineers, these saboteurs are trained to get in close to the enemy's fortifications and buildings undetected, then use well-placed explosives to send them crashing down around the ears of the enemy. They also impede the progress of the enemy, able to lay down all manner of traps, minefields and fortifications of their own. Though not direct weapon like the Shock Trooper or Sniper, Sappers give commanders a measure of control over their enemies, denying them anywhere to hide.

Outside of Combat, Sappers often lead and direct teams of Engineers in construction efforts, and the Sappers proved instrumental in the rebuilding efforts of Tadath after Thrawn's invasion, rebuilding homes, schools and hospitals in the wake of the aftermath. This ability to both create and destroy makes the Sappers a rare breed in the Stormtrooper Corps, and they often find they have more in common with Combat Rescue Specialists than any other form of Elite Trooper. Some Sappers are known to joke that they are the gods of the Stormtrooper Corps.

Sappers are truly ingenious members of the STC: anything they can put together, they can take apart. This ranges to dozens of different emplacements and weapon sites, as well as demolition of their enemies' hard work.

Three 2000 word posts must be written focusing on the skills learned.

As a Sapper, yours will be the powers of creation and destruction. You will build bunkers, buildings, bridges and all manner of fiendish traps. You will also tear down everything your enemy has worked so hard to build, and feast on his precious tears of rage! You will use what you have learned to control the battlefield, and shape it as you see fit.
