Overview

A Reconnaissance and Infiltration Squad, Stalker Squad has a long and notorious history as one of the Corp's finest when it comes to sneaking around. Every Stalker has been trained in concealment and rapid movement, and has had long experience in the field. The men and women of the Stalkers tend to be a quiet lot, something that is mistaken for arrogance. In fact, they simply feel they have little in common with most of their fellow troopers, and see no reason to associate with them. If they are arrogant, it is not without due cause. Of the dozens of missions the squad has undertaken since its formation, they have only once failed to complete their assigned objective. Wearing only light, camouflaged armour, the Stalkers pave the way for their fellows, taking out critical targets with frightening speed before the main assault. They are shadows without names.

The Stalkers have a long and distinguished history, stretching back years into the Vast Empire's past.

Second Battle of Tadath

The squad's greatest failure occurred during the Second Battle of Tadath. The Stalkers were instructed to neutralize a captured sensor station in the planet's polar region. They were discovered as they approached the station, and came under attack from the station's defenses and Thrawnist Army Troopers. Fewer than half of the Stalkers managed to escape from the area, and the squad leader was killed. The then-ASL, took command of the squad.

Cooperation

The Stalkers, their numbers replenished in the period after the Tadath incident, would be part of the group assigned to attack Arkania's capitol city. There was initially some tension between the squads, made worse by the major difference in their combat philosophies. The Stalkers moved ahead of the Blackjacks and Tritons they had been paired with, acting as scouts and distractions during the assault on the capitol.
