The T-75 M-Wing is a transitional fighter design created by the Incom Corporation as a bridge between the Clone Wars era ARC-170 and what later became the X-Wing series. Prior to the Galactic Civil War, the main concern of naval forces were quick patrol craft that could take on smugglers and pirate frigates, and the T-75 was created to be a fast and maneuverable craft capable of taking down shields to prepare ships for capable by capital craft. It was also a highly effective dogfighting craft, though lightly shielded compared to other starfighters.

Characteristics[edit]

The M-Wing was designed for space operations, and has wings that fold upwards (135 degrees) to allow for better storage aboard a capital ship hangar. The two laser cannon can be fire-linked to provide a larger punch than can better impact a freighter or light capital ship's shields.

After-market modifications often resulted in the addition of additional weaponry. The Corellian Defense Forces, which was a key purchaser of the fighter, used the M-Wing for patrol and escort duties, often adding a concussion missile tube to the craft.

Origins[edit]

The T-75 M-Wing is the creation of Adam Kop, who designed the ship from mockup to final graphic. Some statistical elements are his, as defined on his DeviantArt page. Item use permission has been requested and granted by the artist.
