Personality

Charismatic leader, he takes great pains to learn the names of his subordinates and soldiers. He has a brilliant head for tactics and has a good idea of what combat is actually like, having risen through the ranks.

He's a soldier's officer, kind and caring for his troops, but also firm and pragmatic when it comes to combat and discipline.

Devid is confident - and occasionally arrogant - in his abilities, and he reacts by his gut instincts; he won't waste time and lives when there's something to be done. He's a perfectionist, and won't let himself or his men fail in their mission.

History

The first son in a military family, he was destined for the army. Toni was born on Tadath to a retired general and his wife in the outskirts of Sinat. He was the first of three, all boys. They lived outside the city, and were very active children. His father was stern but fair, and brought them up to be respectful, capable and resourceful; all his life, he was making them soldiers.

As expected, the brothers went to school, and did fairly well. All three were very involved in community service projects and all three joined the local ROTC. Devid graduated and his application to the Stormtrooper academy was immediately accepted. His prepared mindset, basic skills, and work ethic contributed greatly to his early successes in the Academy. He excelled in leadership, combat training and strategy; he was a model soldier.

Devid graduated highly, and was shipped off to war. He'd seen four campaigns as a grunt before being bumped up to Sergeant. His officers recognized his leadership, charisma and drive, and acted accordingly. Another two campaigns later, and he was being recommended for the Stormtrooper Officer Academy.

Thanks to his childhood, he knew what to expect, and was a model officer, graduating at the top of his class in tactics and leadership. The freshly-minted young officer was sent out into the field as the commander of his first platoon.

Gradually, he served as an officer, and his career slowed down from there, for a time. Devid led his platoon with honor and distinction, and eventually crawled up the ranks to Captain, and then Major. It took him 10 years, and he was 35 by the time Tadath was attacked by Thrawn.

He was deployed in Sinat, and led a stout defense of the business districts for 10 hours until reinforcements arrived. He was awarded the Ring of Merit and was promoted to Colonel.
