Appearance

Trench is a brown/orange skinned Trandoshan standing at 6'2". His eyes are a brightish red. He has a scar running around his left elbow where his arm was previously cut off.

Personality

Trench is loyal to his teammates even those he doesn't particularly like. He tries to make sure he is on good terms with everyone in his team and doesn't particularly show hostility to anyone he doesn't like unless he totally hates them. He is willing to go to some trouble to help a friend but will not sacrifice himself unless the situation is dangerous for himself as well. This loyalty is purely pragmatic in nature, he does not easily form emotional attachments. He is a compulsive killer, if he is trying to kill someone, he will go to lengths to make sure that person is dead, and will tend to be furious if they escape, feeling that he has been cheated of jagganath points and fearing that it may reset his score with the Scorekeeper. He hates the feeling of being helpless and will tend to either get angry or depressed at helplessness or uselessness. He enjoys luxury and believes that there is no greater pleasure than drinking, something he happily recommends to others. He can tend to be brash at times.

History

Trench was born to a well-to-do slaver family on Trandosha. Named Haks at his birth, his parents were both slavers who focused their efforts on the nearby Wookie population. Growing up with a dozen siblings and being the runt of the litter, Haks quickly learnt self-reliance before anything else as well as learning to ignore any insults or threats directed at him. He was only friendly to one of his brothers and the two of them would often play at being hunters. His brother was later accidently killed by one of his sisters when she was playing with their father's rifle. In a fit of berserk rage Haks killed her, mangling the corpse beyond recognition. He then fled, not being able to face his parents or siblings after this.

Haks then spent several years apprenticed to a travelling slaver, having changed his name to Trench, and became obsessed with scoring jaggannath points. It soon emerged that his sister's death had left him deeply scarred; often when facing a woman his mind would flash back to when he killed his sister and this proved a critical weakness when engaged in a fight. This became all too clear when he and his master were raiding a Twi'Lek village and he was faced with a female. Before he could shoot, he was caught by an onset of memory which confused him and distracted him long enough for the woman to manage to sever his left arm off at the elbow, knocking the Trandoshan over where he hit his head and was knocked out. The Twi'Lek was killed by another slaver before she could finish Trench off.

During the time it took his arm to grow back, Trench visited a consultant about his memories and their effect on him. He soon agreed to have the memories of his brother and sister's death supressed, he would only have fuzzy memories of his family and remember running away due to some unknown reason. For Trench, who had never had much love for his family outside of his brother and who was still angered at having lost all his jagganath points because of his condition, this was an excellent solution. Soon the Trandoshan had only a vague memory of his past beyond his early life and did not even remember seeing the consultant.

For a few months Trench returned to slaving but found it ultimately unfulfilling. Wanting a more stable source of income, which would at the same time allow him to keep scoring jaggannath points, he decided to join the Stormtrooper Corps.
