Brief History Before the Vast Empire

Durandal was born on the planet Kushibah, one of the few humans to ever do so. His father, Dylan Va'aas was a trader who frequented the Kushibah system, selling the silks that the Kushibans made to the ritzy Imperials. On one of the visits, his pregnant wife gave birth. Without having the ability to take them on an extended space voyage, he left them there with the Kushibans, and did not return for many years. His wife, Amira, died just months after giving birth to Durandal, so the kushibans raised him.

For six years they brought him up to be a thin, strong, fast child, teaching him balance and patience. He learned how to hunt and fish and make traps.

When his father came back he found a strong, quiet child who was smart, yet hid what he knew. He took him away, and for four years he stayed with his father, visiting other star systems. While he was with his dad he learned the basics of martial Arts and how to fire a blaster. How to fly the cruiser, and make small repairs.

He learned the basics of technology, and recieved his first blaster pistol on his tenth birthday. When he was ten years old, his father was killed in an 'accident' between a bounty hunter and another target. He was left on the planet Tatooine. See Attachment below:

Fighting Style And Talents

He has developed a quick fighting style, appearing lightning fast and employing martial arts to overcome enemies larger and stronger than him. But he has learned how to shoot a blaster quite well.

Training and Growing up with the Kushibans has trained his eyes to see even the slightest movement or change in an environment. He can easily spot danger, and reacts quickly to that danger.

His Time in the Empire

When Durandal first joined the Vast Empire, he was assigned to the Dark Dragoon squad, there he Trained under the leadership of Sandwich Sam and Kami, and honed his skills with his weapon and senses; he began training as a heavy weapon specialist. After about four months, and an ice campaign on the planet of Illum, against Vaynus' forces, Dark Dragoons lost all track of him.

Durandal was pulled away and sent on three exclusive top secret operations with four other soldiers, forming what was called "Grey Team". In these exclusive operations they were scouting out possible outposts and disabling small areas where Vaynus' remaining forces had retreated near the planet of Illum.

When Durandal had returned and had been reassigned to Dark Dragoons, they were selected for a high risk op to take down an MC90, in the battle, his comrad Zafo had been wounded, so Durandal pulled him back to the dock and took him on a life boat to safety, having been wounded himself.

This moment would be the first to nudge him off the path of Heavy Weapons. After he had recovered, and taken Zafo to safety, He was invited to the newly reinstated Jester Squad, commanded by none other than his old teacher Kami.

The hand picked squad has already finished one op and in the middle of their second.
