Combat Medics work right on the front lines, risking life and limb for the sake of others.

The Skill[edit]

The ambush is sprung, and your squad is pinned down by an enemy E-Web! The Sarge is hit, and he goes down without a sound. You don't dare poke your head up from the crate you're using for cover - the incoming fire is too heavy. Without a word, one of the troopers tosses a flashbang grenade over the cover and races out right into the kill-zone. You aim your blaster in the general direction of the E-Web and fire, hoping you'll give the medic time to get the Sarge to safety...

Many a soldier owes his or her life to the selfless bravery of a Combat Medic. These battlefield heroes will take risks no-one else would even contemplate in order to keep their squad-mates alive, no matter what. With the tactical knowledge to navigate the battlefield and defend the wounded, and the medical expertise to save them, Combat Medics have a place in every wartime squad, and the Navy is no exception.

Combat Medics are usually found in the ranks of Imperial Marines, Navy Commandos or Unconventional Operations Squadrons, and are absolutely indispensable when the chips are down. After the unit leader, the Medic is often the next most vital member of the team, and are always popular with their peers.

"Combat Medics have saved my life three times now. I don't doubt they'll do so again."

—Academy Instructor Sam "Dunny" Dunn.

Certification Mission: "He's not dying on my watch!"[edit]

Combat Medics are equipped with light armour to keep them safe and to make them easy to identify.

Your ship has been boarded by pirates, and even now the vicious combatants are moving throughout the ship! As one of those trained in infantry combat and wartime medicine, it is up to you to hold the line!

You objective is simple: Using your combat skills and equipment, join four Navy Crewmen and hold off a pirate squad of seven. Then, whist the battle still rages, use your medical skill to get one of the wounded Crewmen out of the line of fire and perform emergency treatment! You will need to work quickly in order to save the dying crewman, and you'll need to keep your wits about you in the middle of a battle. Instructors will be looking for an advanced understanding of both lifesaving procedures, but of adaptability as you juggle fighting off pirates and saving lives.

Skill Equipment: Imperial Combat Medic Armour + GH-7 Medical Droid[edit]

GH-7 is one of the few medical droids agile enough to operate in the middle of a battlefield.

Imperial Medics are equipped with body armour similar to that used by Imperial Army officers, in order to better protect you in the battlefield. You also are granted a GH-7 Medical Droid that is assigned to you personally, to aid you in diagnostics and treatment. This is one of the most advanced droids of its type in the galaxy, and it will prove exceptionally useful.

Naval Certifications[edit]

You are now Certified as an Combat Medic, the highest tier of proficiency for anyone seeking to save lives on the battlefield. There is no higher pinnacle to rise to in this field of expertise - you can count yourself as one of the best.

By combining this with the highly controversial Unconventional Operations Pilot Certification, you become an extremely adaptable member of the VEN, able to perform complex 'special forces' missions and keep your team alive when things get too hot to handle.

By combining this with the Emergency Mechanic Certification, you can basically fix anything. People or equipment alike - you're Bob the Builder IN SPAAAAACE.
