You can earn extra IC's by helping superior officers, recruiting, winning multiplayer games (if a fixed amount of ic's are put on the game), competing in competitions that have IC awards, investing in the stock market, and gambling in the casino.

Which division you join is up to you. The Army are the ground troops of the Vast Empire, while the Navy are the pilots. We suggest you join the division you have the most interest in.

If you have just joined the Vast Empire, you will be getting a welcoming email shortly. That email will contain your login password as well as information to get you started here in the VE. Make sure you type this password in exactly as it appears in the welcoming email when you are logging in as well as your username. The passwords are case sensitive.
If you are a long standing member and are still having trouble logging in, there are a number of things you can do. If you are not sure what your password is and your email is set up correctly in the VE network, you can go request your password from the First Galactic Bank. It will send your password to your registered email address. If this doesn't work, you can contact your commanding officer to find out if they can provide any assistance to getting you logged in.
If you are still having problems logging in or do not see your name in the password request list, you will need to contact an administrator ([email protected]).

If you are able to log in successfully but have a problem with getting logged out all the time or at random times, you'll need to change some preferences in your account.
This is what you'll need to do:
1. Go to the Preferences link on he left side of the page found at http://www.vastempire.com/main.cfm?ref=prefs when you are logged in.
2. Make sure you have cookies turned ON. This will allow the site to remember you. If you are using a public computer, remember to always log out of the site before you leave otherwise anyone can access your account from that computer. If you are using a public computer, it may also be a good idea to turn off cookies while you're on the public computer.
3. Change the security setting from HIGH to one of the lower security settings. You may have to tune this value a bit before you find a security setting that will work for you all the time.

Unless the problem has something to do with the domain or one of the features of the domain, the first person you should talk to is your direct superior. If you have a problem with the domain, or recieve an error on any of the pages, please send an e-mail to [email protected].

Chances are, you are using a web browser that does not support forms. We suggest you either use Netscape or Internet Explorer versions 4.0 and later. If you are still unable to get the application to work, send an email to [email protected] with all the information that is found on the application.

The easiest way to make money in the Vast Empire is to participate in the Pay Per Click link directory. It is pretty easy to use. All you have to do when you're logged in is go to the 'Pay Per Click' link on the left side of the page and follow the instructions for each of the links found in the directory.
Once you click through on a link, make sure you vote for the Vast Empire and then you're done. It's that simple!
There are also a ton of other ways to make money. Most of the time, there are competitions going on where you can make a lot of cash just for winning or getting randomly selected. Some members will even pay your a ton of cash if you can beat them in a mulitplayer game of their choosing.

Everyone is paid a salary on the first of the month. If you see that you have not been paid, you will need to contact your commanding officer right away.

Everyone may join the Vast Empire. We only require that if you are under the age of thirteen, you have your parents permission to join.

In order to get your passwords, you will need to request it from the First Galactic Bank. If you do not receive your password within the amount of time it should take for an email to be delivered, you will need to contact your commanding officer or send an email to [email protected].
