GG_Fury | Alright, welcome to another Vast Empire meeting. |
GG_Fury | I have been out of town but we'll try to manage on the Army's end. Shazam seems ready to go so we'll let him lead off with the Naval report |
CMD_Shazam | Alrighty |
CMD_Shazam | just got done writing up a report for Phoenix wing, and the thing I see that is so consistant amongst our groups is the inability to post |
CMD_Shazam | Not that we don't want to- we just can not |
CMD_Shazam | Maybe if we became really strict and started handing and demotions and the like, we'd get some attention- but what does that solve? |
CMD_Shazam | The Navy is about having fun, and that's not to say I'm not proud of the strides we've made, but its been subtly commented that we've been weakening ourselves by focusing entirelly on posting |
CMD_Shazam | The truth is- yes and no. While our groups can work finer than anything I've seen in the VE when it comes to good writing, if one of us fails- we all tend to- why? |
CMD_Shazam | Our groups are very closely age-related. Everyone seems to be in High School so they're all affected by the same things- test, sports or everyday hustle and bustle. |
CMD_Shazam | Yet- we see eachother on IRC and whatnot- don't we? How is that when we're so busy? The answer is that we have time, but not that much time. |
CMD_Shazam | So- what can we do with that time? That's the question I put on every squdaron commander, every flight lead and every single member of the Navy or even Army if you guys can think of things |
CMD_Shazam | My suggestions have been to maybe explore our territories in RPG and expand on that or look to building on our websites or creating databases for ourselves |
CMD_Shazam | Each group needs to look at where they need help in forming their group, and get to work on it. Because, the VEN's job is not to make stories- its to work together and have fun. |
CMD_Shazam | Everyone knows that direct messaging like IRC here is the most effective way to get groups in touch with one another and enjoying themselves- so lets use it. |
CMD_Shazam | Also, for outstanding work in the midst of all this low activity, I'd like to address someone who's actually forced their way through the current |
CMD_Shazam | Would LCRW Zurth Scrace step forward? |
| * LCRW_Scrace steps forward |
CMD_Shazam | For your inspiring work and admirable initiative, I hereby promote you to the rank of Senior Crewman |
CMD_Shazam | Congratulations |
| * CMD_Shazam salutes |
| * LCRW_Scrace salutes |
CMD_Shazam | And that's about all I have to say this week |
CMD_Shazam | Thankyou for your time- hang in there folks |
CMD_Shazam | Rock On. |
| * LCRW_Scrace sits back down |
GG_Fury | I suppose we'll move on to the Army portion of the meeting. |
GG_Fury | First off, I know we are all waiting on Chapter 9 but I encourage you to use this time to form up your fire teams, work on website/image work, possibly train a bit on games or on how your squad will manuever during missions. |
GG_Fury | Next, I want to bring up Colonel Rizzit to update you on a recent mission of our's. |
COL_Rizzit | thank you Fury |
COL_Rizzit | now, as most of you are well aware, we have long since closed off our mission on Euceron. For those that don't know: allow me to share a little bit about it |
COL_Rizzit | Every 5-7 Years the galactic games were held on a different planet in the galaxy where contestants from all over go to compete in this competition. It consists of a total of 10 events which include the opening and closing rituals. (Also there is an illegal podrace that always ends up unable to be stopped) |
COL_Rizzit | our role in the games was to go undercover as extra security, as some out there don't have much love for the empire. It was a needed job though, as any upset could cause an inter-system problem as many species have certain prejudices against the others. |
COL_Rizzit | Now, this mission I will admit was fairly different from the others, as we didn't stick to specific squads. We split up into groups, and furthermore: some troopers took off to join in the games. |
COL_Rizzit | Given the abnormality of the mission, I'd say that we did an excellent job. There were a lot of good ideas from everyone about side-plots and the like, if anything: I'd say we had too many side-plots. |
COL_Rizzit | We did stop the mission early, by my choice to make room for Chapter 9 to come in. In the future, if we have the means to do so: I would like to actually try this mission again. You all did an excellent job though: those that did participate. You should all give yourselves a pat on the back. True, some people's contributions exceeded those of others: but you all did a terriffic job! |
COL_Rizzit | and with that, I'm going to return the floor to Fury who has all the rewards for those of you that did contribute! |
GG_Fury | Thank you Rizzit. |
GG_Fury | First off, I want to second the thanks to those who participated in this campaign. |
GG_Fury | I know our activity has been sporadic lately and I hope you know we appreciate it when you all step up when given a chance. |
GG_Fury | With that, let's give out some well-deserved awards. |
| * GSG_Garet steps forward |
| * CPL_Aphamos steps forward |
GG_Fury | Garet, you jumped into the Corps and have done a great job with little guidance. This campaign was another example of this level of activity. |
GG_Fury | Aphamos, you have stepped up your activity as well. It is a welcome surprise when a new trooper gives their best efforts and you are deserving of the following award. |
GG_Fury | To both of you, I bestow: |
GG_Fury | Iron Heart [IH] - A medal for the troopers of the Vast Empire Army that have shown their bravery, courage, and honor by increasing a squads or platoons activity and having a major effect on the overall activity of the Regiment. |
| * GG_Fury salutes |
| * GSG_Garet returns salute and steps down |
| * CPL_Aphamos salutes |
GSG_Garet | thank you sir |

| * CPL_Aphamos steps down |
GG_Fury | Kairo has also earned the Iron Heart on behalf of his efforts during this campaign. |
GG_Fury | Continuing on, we award the Cross of Distinguished Service to Rogueboy, who is not with us today. He provided the most posts, which - more importantly - were posts that showed a continual growth of his character and contribution as the story went on. |
| * SSGT_SandwichSam steps forward |
GG_Fury | Among the notes I have on your medal request is that you always make the platoon a fun place to be. |
GG_Fury | There's not much more you can say to that, except good job and I hope to see more of the same from you in the future. |
GG_Fury | You are hereby awarded: |
GG_Fury | Emperor's Will [EW] [1st Class] - Awarded to members who have shown dedication, loyalty, and outstanding activity in his/her platoon. |

| * LCPL_Typex3 Returns the salute |
| * salutes salutes |

GG_Fury | Emperor's Shield [ES] [2nd Class] - The standard excellence award of the Vast Empire Stormtrooper Corps, it may be bestowed for any outstanding service. |
| * GG_Fury salutes |
| * LCPL_RK Takes his seat |
GG_Fury | Alright, we only have a couple more awards to present. |
GG_Fury | As always, I depend on my staff to handle things when I'm out on the road. |
GG_Fury | They don't get enough credit so this award is for more than one campaign, it is for handling the day-to-day when I'm away. |
GG_Fury | Colonel Rizzit, please step forward. |
| * COL_Rizzit steps forward. |
GG_Fury | You, along with Major Merrick, are the keys to keeping the Corps running. I thank you both for your work, in this campaign and in every day's efforts, to keep the Army functioning and fun. |
GG_Fury | You are both hereby awarded: |
GG_Fury | Pride of Coruscant [PoC] - Conferred to Imperial officers who the Vast Empire Army is very proud of, and deems them the best officers in service. |
| * GG_Fury salutes |
| * COL_Rizzit returns the salute. "Thank you sir." |
GG_Fury | Thank you. |
GG_Fury | Alright, that about covers it for the meeting. |
