Setup Criteria[edit]

Mission Details[edit]

  • An invasion fleet is attacking Tadath. All squads are still near Lotaith on board the Dominon or the Scythe and now must make their way back to Tadath to fight off the invasion fleet. FES lands troops around the capital city. A number of asteroids crash near the VE capital, it is determined that they are actually Tank Droids over 2000 of them and they are headed right for the capital.
Cosmic gets a group of Veterans together to blend in with refugees and land on Tadath to help repel the invading fleet. The group will land on the outskirts of the Imperial City. Then proceed to the Army Training Base, and meet up with the trainees and get them combat trained immediately. After they are trained they will set up a hidden monitoring system to monitor all activity on the planet's surface. The system will be linked to a computer consul where the oxygen pumps are located. As soon as the enemy fleet commences landing, they will blow the atmospheric pumps from underground. The enemy troops will not be able to breath in the atmosphere without the pumps to oxygenate that section of the planet. Once they have fended off that wave of enemy troopers, then they will prepare for another attack. They will only engage the enemy if they attack with non-atmospheric troopers. FES groundpounders and most of VE Army Command are on Lotaith fighting the enemy invaders. Fury is returning after his not-as-interesting-as-I-thought-it-would-be mission out in the sticks. Iron Horse, Dark Dragoons, and Raiders squads are either on Sernpidal and it's primary moon working to complete a couple missions. Soon they will be able to make it home. The FA (whatever their status) and Wraith squad are working to abscond with some enemy leadership types and whatever data they can recover. Once stellar atmospheric conditions improve, they a) should be done with their mission and ready to go, because apparently b) will have a lot of incoming enemy to deal with. Last but not least, CPT Cosmic is on the Army's home turf - Tadath - trying to keep his trainees alive and the planet out of enemy hands. Eventually we can assume that a couple of our missions will either wrap up quickly or fail as Anakin decides that to be the case. I know nothing definite and even indefinite, but I doubt this is supposed to be easy. Just playing devil's advocate, but I highly doubt that we will be allowed to hold the capital city...and I suspect Cosmic's mission will simply be forced to end as he and whoever he can keep alive get off of the planet.
  • Dominion teams were to jump to the Shykar system, where the Jedi captives would be delivered to the planet by any DJO combatants.  There they would meet up with Imperial Center resupply ships, which would give them everything from ammunition, food, bandages, and weapons.  The escort ships would be resupplied and leave, their contract completed.  From there they would wait for further orders and interrogate any captured enemy. Scythe and Fallen Angels with Tadath survivors, including Captain Cosmic and his team would also head for the planet Lopen and join up with the Dominion.  The Fallen Angels of course could head towards whatever goal they wish. on Tadath: Getting into the system will involve taking on a a Lancer Frigate and two CC-9600s (like from Rebellion). You have a VSD, two light frigates of your own as well as a complement of TIE Droid fighters, plus whatever Argon and Fish bring to the show. This shouldn't be a problem, just letting you know the weapons the enemy can bring to bear. Assume 18 starfighters of various types as planetary defense. Consult the controlled systems part of the VE domain page. Tadath has no atmosphere and little in civilian hospitality. If people didn't escape Tadath on the Scythe, they didn't get off the rock. Tadath will be used as a rear medical facility and leave station for the enemy. The FES had to have banged them up pretty bad on Lotaith. Count up about 5,000 wounded and 3,000 on leave. You have an advantage in armor and rested troops. Should you quantifiably remove the enemy air cover, the VSD can issue some punishment. Also assume some Zero-G type troops (elite Rebel special forces variant anyway). Also remember you have at least a full regiment of regular army troops. Most of them cannot work without an atmosphere, so be careful when assigning them duties. Recapture Tadath. It is home to Army HQ.
  • Lotaith: While Fury and the FES were holding the line to the southwest of the capital city, the enemy was roaming free over much of the rest of the planet.  To the northeast of the city, partisans controlled a fairly open area, perfect for assembling an armed force.  Before them were about three regiments of enemy troops, well dug in and protected by artillery and air support.  They were the reason the FES moved their landing to the slightly less contested southeast. With recent developments, however, troops had been moved from the area to back up the taking of other large cities.  A platoon of stormtroopers and a regiment of regulars with partisan support would certainly even the odds on the battlefield.  If they could relieve some of the opposition between the units Fury was working with and the city, they could recapture the capital and use it as a staging area to take back the rest of the planet.  For a look at the landing zone for the Dominion and Scythe-based teams. Outposts are lead elements of various partisan groups who will help you until you engage the enemy en masse.  Their job is to protect their land and families and will only help set up the destruction of enemy forces, not get themselves into situations where they may get killed.  There are a lot of enemy platoons. Most of them are regulars however, so while they are dug in, they are weak in close hand combat compared to stormtroopers.  Do not forget their superiority in artillery. Consider the total enemy strength in the vicinity to be three regiments in strength.  If you push too hard, there are five more ready to fill the gap.  Proceed with some level of caution. Work either as regular teams or begin to work as specialized units, trying out a variety of different weapons systems.  Do the same for your characters if you wish.  For the Wraiths and Dread Knights you either have much room to snipe from, defenses to exploit, and a couple of ways to run a flanking manuever through difficult terrain.
  • The forces take out the outlying NR troops and move in on the capital city of Lotaith. Dread Knights bombard the flanks of the enemy in the capital with explosives and return to base, completing their objectives. The rest of the army focuses on the center of the force which is in the city. The battle ends with the VE capturing a large number of enemy combatants and the Navy bombarding any leftover resistance in the city. Lotaith is back in VE control.

Events Prior to Mission[edit]

Objectives and Goals[edit]

Iron Horse Objectives[edit]

  • On Sernpidal, Iron Horse are deployed surrounding a local factory. They are ordered to meet up with RAIDERS and Dark Dragoons squads and take out the factory using hit and run tactics. After the factory is taken, a drop ship arrives to pick up the squads. On board the Dominon, SL's are informed that they will be transported down to the surface of Sernpidal immediately to attack the Jedi Temple.

Dark Dragoons Objectives[edit]

  • On Sernpidal, Dark Dragoons are deployed surrounding a local factory. They are ordered to meet up with RAIDERS and Iron Horse squads and take out the factory using hit and run tactics. After the factory is taken, a drop ship arrives to pick up the squads. On board the Dominon, SL's are informed that they will be transported down to the surface of Sernpidal immediately to attack the Jedi Temple.

RAIDERS Objectives[edit]

  • Given orders on Sernpidal, to await the return of Snake and attack the factory. Orders from Snake are to join the other two squads (Dark Dragoons and Iron Horse) and implement hit and run tactics against the factory. After the factory is taken, a drop ship arrives to pick up the squads. On board the Dominon, SL's are informed that they will be transported down to the surface of Sernpidal immediately to attack the Jedi Temple. RAIDERS complete their mission but return to the support ships to find them sabotaged. Now they must repair the ships before they can leave. They assess the damage and head towards a Rebel Parts Factory.

Fallen Angels Objectives[edit]

  • On Nam Chorios waiting for Epic to arrive. Once he arrives they take a transport to Scythe and go over the intel they had gathered on Zellus. Orders are to go in, scout out any fleeing officers or spies and destroy any manufacturing facilities in evidence. currently docked in the small planetoid of Zellus. It's so small that it has no atmosphere, and everything is underground. We are going in undercover to find and eliminate any rebel officers fleeing Anobis through here, and to destroy any manufacturing plants. In order to get out safely, we also need the exit codes for the security doors, or we need to breach them somehow before we try to leave.

Wraith Objectives[edit]

  • On Nam Chorios working with Fallen Angels. Once FA arrive they take a transport to Scythe and go over the intel they had gathered on Zellus. In order to get out safely, we also need the exit codes for the security doors, or we need to breach them somehow before we try to leave. Wraith are ordered to Alalo, for another 'search and kill' objective. They have been given a series of targets on the planet to take out either by assassination or using explosives on key political buildings.

Dread Knights[edit]

  • Upcoming battle near Lotaith. Orders for Dread Knights Squad: Black Ops 1)Slip behind enemy lines. 2)Neutralize any officers encountered. 3)Cause general havoc.

FES Objectives[edit]

  • Get some troops to manage traffic and to coordinate a defense to buy some time if nothing else.  Grab some crews and reinforce this damn ramp.  Grab the ship's weapons, power them up and use them as static defenses.  Find - no, make the time to defend that ship until we can get every being off.  After that, grab what you can.  I don't care what your personal agendas are, but we need to save lives first.  Primarily by healing the wounded, and also by allowing others to defend themselves.  IF we can nab a couple MT-ATs in the process, then great.
